So Apparently Us Loyal players have to buy content we already own to get exclusive items
If you didn't already know, the collectors edition of the taken king expansion includes 3 exotic class items which give an XP BONUS 3 new emotes and other benefits.
On top of that it includes multiple physical trinkets to add to your collection.
This sounds great at first, but one part does not. This edition also includes the BASE GAME, AND ALL 3 dlcs. This means that if a veteran player wants the full experience they must waste over $40 on content they ALREADY OWN!! I would happily give Bungie my money for just the trinkets and in-game benefits, but buying content I already own is taking it too far.
In order to fix this, Bungie MUST release a version of this that doesn't include the things we already purchased. If YOU want this to happen, bump this post to the top of the forums and let them know what we, the players, think of their money grabbing scheme.
Additionally, I just realized that the edition with the physical stuff is NEXT GEN ONLY!! Why would they do this? Why not give the ps3 and 360 players the trinkets as well? There is no reason not to, other than to make money. Last gen players' only option is to buy ONLY the digital content for the SAME PRICE!! Lame.

6 OdpowiedziI kinda pissed I could've waited a year and saved my money. I had bought the limited edition thinking it was gonna be great, turns out I could've spent sixty and got the same stuff and more. I'm still a teen in school, and I can't make a lot of cash considering my parents won't allow me to apply for a job, then get mad when I ask for them to lend me money. Why? No idea. But I paid some of my money for this and I could've saved. Now I don't order limited edition stuff anymore.

Also you have a trinket that only year 1, day 1 players can claim if you really are that. A ghost shell, something no longer available to get. It's a trinket that makes year 1 players. In my eyes this (much less cool imo) trinket is a mark of a year 2 player. I really like the idea of setting it apart. While I understand being a collector and wanting everything and think it would be nice to have a collectors edition that came with the physical items and the taken king only. I get why they did what they did. On another note. I hope they don't change it because the way most of the community approaches this being whining and crying and calling for people's heads, it's a disgrace and not a way to get anything except muted by everyone. I hope they get nothing.

1 OdpowiedźI wish everyone would just calm the hell down about all of it. We have no idea what they are doing for the year one players yet. Everyone just needs to relax until we know more. If we find out that the rewards for year one players are garbage, then by all means freak out, but until then calm the hell down.

Do those trinkets really matter? We have the Nightfall to get the EXP boost. New players won't have that option right off the bat.
