Anyone else find the ToO Recruitment posts a little intimidating?
A couple of my buddies are away on vacation, so I went to the Recruitment tab to find a ToO team. I'm average at best and don't play a lot of PVP anymore. I was just looking to win maybe 5 games, enough to get a new helmet. Not looking to go flawless or ruin kids days. Just wanted to have some fun.
The more post I read through, the more discouraged I got. Almost every post had the strictest requirements to join.
- Must have exotic ToO emblem
- Must have Thorn, Matador, Sniper
- Must have gone flawless in weeks past
- Must know the map like the back of your hand
- ect ect ect
The lists went on. I didn't want to join anyone and have them get pissed at me so I just left and ran some bounties. Is there anyone who just wants to play for fun and not have go flawless with a 17 k/d lol. Where are of those players? Are there any?
Just kind of wondering if anyone else is in that same boat when looking for a ToO team. Thanks and enjoy your day!
*Edit - Just wanted to thank everyone for the great mature responses & positivity! I've read every response and it looks like the best thing to do is just make your own post. To those of you offering to help me and all the others, you are the real heroes! I hope to pay it forward someday as well just like you have! Game on Guardians!
* Edit #2 - A ton of us are in the same boat! There are lots of people in here looking to team up and dropping GT's! Add them! I'm on Xbox One and my GT is leedy5. I'd be proud to play with anyone in this thread! My awesome (sarcasm) Time Warner internet is down today, but I'll be on tomorrow after they come and fix it!

Never go off on a whim and join a player on LFG always check them on destinytracker first

This is what happens when you are good you don't want to have to deal with bad players so you make some harsh restrictions. Too many times I have played with bad players so now I check their K/D before I let them join. It might be mean but I don't feel sorry for wanting to win.

Sadly I have no issue its more of a laugh when I see those requirements since one I don't use the sight and 2 -.- me and a few friends carry people through it but yeah people will do anything to increase their odds in winning a 9 streak flawless

I look to play PoE or any raid and I always read: - Must have fully upgraded ghorn (I don't have a ghorn). - Must be a 34. - Must have self rez (I have 2 characters, one voidwalker, one sunsinger). It's funny. One person asked for all these. (He had a One Way Ticket 000, was a 32,and was a voidwalker).

I feel the same way. I see destiny twitchers and they destroy the opponents and I sit there like "wtf? Why can't I ever get a match like that?"

It's a crying shame they went for this and not the promised raid. The old six man raids were fun but have done them to death. I've done the Arena on all levels each week and just need to finish off final exotic bounty so now left with boring ole 3 man trials of Osirus. Every match we seem to be up against a bunch of try guards with the flawless emblem so you can imagine how it goes. A lot of my online mates had had a go and similarly failed so don't bother anymore. If you're not into crucible or struggle with the higher arena levels than this dlc is going to have been a massive disappointment.

Yeah I agree, I just wanted to get to 5 for the helmet, which I did eventually but with friends who finally got on, I didn't meet most of the requirements when I tried to find a team in the forums, maybe people don't like the challenge of it and that is why they only want to play with other good players. There are a few out there that will help carry a team of that is what u need

Yeah. These people usually can't bring anything to the table and just want to get carried. Make your own post. Explain what you want and bump/refresh. Its not gonna be in 20 seconds but someon will reply. There are people on this forum that will help and don't have those ridiculous requirements.

Try reddit if your looking to do trials. They are much nicer people.

I personally set high standards because I've been burned. Joined two guys who talked like they were PvP pros. First game I went 18-6 and we lost. Next game I when around the same and we lost again. Neither guy had more than 3 kill in either game. When I set a criteria I'm looking for players that I can trust and at the same time I'm weeding out the undesirables. If it is off putting but it gets the job done. I personally have a limited amount of time to run trials so I want to get it done on the first try.

Starting next week ill probably help 1 person per week get flawless depending on if i have time.

7 OdpowiedziI know people are going to hate on me... I think Trials hurt this game more than it helped. It's torn apart the community and the rewards really don't make sense. People who mainly play pvp don't need to be max level and don't need elemental primaries. Getting flawless, or even just enough wins for the armor, is way too easy for some and nearly impossible for others. But that's just my view on it.

I did it first try on a map I never played before with my buddies and went flawless in 1 run using found verdict and thorn. And we didn't use our specials alot. Just landed headshots since all our skill was derived from H2.

I was intimidated by going through the posts as well, looks like a lot of people who don't want to put work in themselves, they just want people to do it for them. I only replied to one post, a guy looking for people with a k/d of 1.5 or higher. He let me in even though I never went flawless, and I was a 33. We got a 3rd player and stomped people, we never even needed the mercy on the 2 characters we ran. Just keep searching, soon you'll find that light in the darkness.
