Anyone else find the ToO Recruitment posts a little intimidating?
A couple of my buddies are away on vacation, so I went to the Recruitment tab to find a ToO team. I'm average at best and don't play a lot of PVP anymore. I was just looking to win maybe 5 games, enough to get a new helmet. Not looking to go flawless or ruin kids days. Just wanted to have some fun.
The more post I read through, the more discouraged I got. Almost every post had the strictest requirements to join.
- Must have exotic ToO emblem
- Must have Thorn, Matador, Sniper
- Must have gone flawless in weeks past
- Must know the map like the back of your hand
- ect ect ect
The lists went on. I didn't want to join anyone and have them get pissed at me so I just left and ran some bounties. Is there anyone who just wants to play for fun and not have go flawless with a 17 k/d lol. Where are of those players? Are there any?
Just kind of wondering if anyone else is in that same boat when looking for a ToO team. Thanks and enjoy your day!
*Edit - Just wanted to thank everyone for the great mature responses & positivity! I've read every response and it looks like the best thing to do is just make your own post. To those of you offering to help me and all the others, you are the real heroes! I hope to pay it forward someday as well just like you have! Game on Guardians!
* Edit #2 - A ton of us are in the same boat! There are lots of people in here looking to team up and dropping GT's! Add them! I'm on Xbox One and my GT is leedy5. I'd be proud to play with anyone in this thread! My awesome (sarcasm) Time Warner internet is down today, but I'll be on tomorrow after they come and fix it!

Anyone else find the fact we have to go on those kind of sites to look for a team to play is retarded. Would of been nice of bungie to give everyone a tablet with the game or just put matchmaking in there

I feel ya been trying to do trials all weekend to no avail, they all want flawless. Shit I just wanna play, I even tried going to Twitch but the guys they teamed me up with must have been the D squad cause we only got 4 wins. My GT is Blimptown on Xbox 1

To be honest, I couldn't careless what team I had. As long as we get a few wins and have a few laughs, that's good enough. Once I found a team who wanted 5 wins and got flawless. Check my KD, you will be very surprised. Goes to show that few requirements can spark some good times

They have the right to seek whatever player they want. At the same time, I have seen plenty of posts out there that are asking for any skill level and wanting to do just for fun.

1 OdpowiedźI've been looking on the LFG sites and was really put off even sending messages to people. So, I stuck mine up and simply put "Just looking to play". Got with two guys and we went on a 5 win streak. Kind of fell apart after that as it was late for me - 3am, and the German guy - 4am. But still, was a good run and we all got the helmet which is the best I've done so far.

normally i don't play PvP it's only rarely i do, i don't consider myself a bad player, but i've seen a few of these lfg posts and it just pushes me away from it even more, ( and i play so much better with hawkmoon over thorn)

My clan wants to give it a try and i'm only going to run with them or friends of theirs I know, i don't feel like dealing with the egos that some folks have. I just want to do well enough to get some gear.

1 OdpowiedźI consider myself a pretty good PvP player, spend most of my time in The Crucible. But I have 9 month old twins, which means I normally only get to play when they're in bed and after their mother has gone to bed. So I can't speak out if avoidance of waking anyone up, I can have my headset on to join the party and listen for instructions/position shoutouts if you're down etc., and that is the only reason I can't find players to play with. None of those 'elite' players wants to take someone into Trials who can't communicate. So if any of you guys need an extra player, I'm a 33/34 (depending on what I run, which is dependant on what type of players we are up against) Titan, then add me (Xbox One) GT: WITHxPRIDE Don't care about weapons, you can use what you want (I personally use Three Little Words), and I'm not overly fussed about level either.

1 OdpowiedźMore than half the people I run into with the exotic emblem are awful. I don't even bother equipping the emblem I like using the starter emblem and ship.

Yeah I went on lfg this Friday n it was ridiculous trying to find a team. After 20 minutes I actually found two good players n it worked out. Couldn't play long tho.
