Anyone else find the ToO Recruitment posts a little intimidating?
A couple of my buddies are away on vacation, so I went to the Recruitment tab to find a ToO team. I'm average at best and don't play a lot of PVP anymore. I was just looking to win maybe 5 games, enough to get a new helmet. Not looking to go flawless or ruin kids days. Just wanted to have some fun.
The more post I read through, the more discouraged I got. Almost every post had the strictest requirements to join.
- Must have exotic ToO emblem
- Must have Thorn, Matador, Sniper
- Must have gone flawless in weeks past
- Must know the map like the back of your hand
- ect ect ect
The lists went on. I didn't want to join anyone and have them get pissed at me so I just left and ran some bounties. Is there anyone who just wants to play for fun and not have go flawless with a 17 k/d lol. Where are of those players? Are there any?
Just kind of wondering if anyone else is in that same boat when looking for a ToO team. Thanks and enjoy your day!
*Edit - Just wanted to thank everyone for the great mature responses & positivity! I've read every response and it looks like the best thing to do is just make your own post. To those of you offering to help me and all the others, you are the real heroes! I hope to pay it forward someday as well just like you have! Game on Guardians!
* Edit #2 - A ton of us are in the same boat! There are lots of people in here looking to team up and dropping GT's! Add them! I'm on Xbox One and my GT is leedy5. I'd be proud to play with anyone in this thread! My awesome (sarcasm) Time Warner internet is down today, but I'll be on tomorrow after they come and fix it!

Play skirmish make friends Say good game in a message ( if it was good lol ) Recruit players you feel match your play style . Have you got a mic ? Over 18? Reliable ? Then build on that .. ( then form your own clan ) In a few weeks of regular pvp you will be ready to enter the trials ... Good luck guardians !!

If i'm playing trials I want a team that's not gonna let me down. So yeah, I will post requirements. Mine tend to be more like "Must be a team player" though.

It is insane. There is a huge amount of "elitist" people on the forums. But I can't really call them that seeing as they don't have a dream team. Don't fall to their demands. Use what you want. Have fun. Flawless is more than possible with all kinds of guns. It's communication that matters.

1 OdpowiedźI hear you! I'm usually got a fireteam of two and go to destinylfg to find one more. I always have a laugh at all those posts that you stated above. Kids being kids. I never choose anyone who posts rubbish like that, as these are the people I would never want to team up with. Be cool, be competitive and have fun.

Must be a cheating Hunter with ashes to asset perk stacks. Must know how to cheat to get super in round one. Emblem not needed as we know even a handicapped dolphin can now get flawless this week. Also must have maxed out Ghorn just cuz it looks cool. No mic required.

It's easier to apply for and obtain a job than meet the requirements for some of these posts. Based upon how HoW has turned the community on itself, I wonder if Bungie will ever regret it's statement that they will find us enemies, but not friends to play Destiny with.

I'm nowhere near good at PvP like everyone though I have my good and bad days I just want to play trials for the fun not the rewards they would be a bonus and yes I know there's no punctuation in this just because I like to annoy people who correct others

Best way to deal with that is to start your own post with your own requirements. That always worked for me if trying to find randoms for raids or anything.

The lighthouse is so overhyped it's hilarious. The thought of getting there is cooler than going there. Id rather just get a gold tier package with three losses than play on some squad that's stressed out trying to go flawless.

2 OdpowiedziI feel your pain(: I don't meet half of the expectations so I don't bother anymore to look at the lfg site or recruitment tab. - Haven't gone flawless yet. - I'm not highly skilled, or skilled at all. (I do have my portion of good and bad games) - I do have a mic but due to anxiety I find it really hard to talk to strangers which leads to me saying I have no mic. Now I just rely on whether my clan wants to do ToO or other friends which doesn't happen that often but I'm okay with it. I rather don't get to play ToO then going in a party and get kicked out because of all the reasons I just named.

Funny thing is you can tell which people who have the emblem got carried too. I'm by no means amazing at PvP, but we wrecked a couple teams of all three wearing the emblem you get for going flawless. Then of course there were the ones that whooped us like they owned us too and I was like, "Welp, they definitely earned that shit."

Yea I only had a team of ppl I normally play with week 1 we went 9 and 1 the past 2 weeks when I'm on there not I usually work till late at night tried lfg but if u don't have exotic emblem it's tough but looking at the players with all these requirements I typically have a higher kd and that's with my lil brother killing my kd I let him play on my account while I'm at work

Me and my brother play and generally recruit 1 person from lfg. All we ask is a mic, and a positive KD. You don't really need more than that to go flawless. I looked at one of these players stats just yesterday. 0.4 KD and did not have their own exotic emblem.
