If you worked at Bungie, and made some badass raids that less than 20%ish of overall users have tried--what would you do to get more people to play?
Do you think there is a direct correlation between a lack of matchmaking options and the abysmal numbers for raid completions?
Do you think that more people running raids in general would be a good thing for the average guardian who enjoys raiding?
If optional mm were added, would you, the raid veteran, step up and be legendary--go into optional mm and be a leader? Help others who haven't tried it run raids? (Chances are you will at least have 1 other experienced guardian with ya, too). Would it give you a new reason to go back and run raids?
Curious what you think!
Edit: Changed to proper usage of "newbs" lol forgot there is a CLEAR distinction which is 100% true!!! :)

If there was matchmaking I would go into it. I handle myself quite well too. I usually have team but sometimes I miss the raid train or poe train..lol and need to find people. I would love to jump in. If by chance the group was totally horrible or under ranked I would stay for a few wipes. After 2 hours if it's plain to see we are not going to beat it I would leave then. This happened already when I did vault and crota with people I got from forums, so I don't get why matchmaking is not in game already. It would be the same as me getting randoms most likely.

I generally take people through the majority of the raid then get them to look up the game mechanics via a YouTube video or something like that, then get them all to have a go at running relic or sword etc.

1 OdpowiedźI'll cut to the chase. It is un-American to not have matchmaking. we need OPTIONAL matchmaking in every thing. So in my opinion this is the difference between having a in game matchmaking and what we use today outside of the game for group matching. Today's way of endgame matchmaking. 1-Pick up phone 2-find lfg app that's wasting space on my phone 3- find a group that doesn't require the freaking gjallarhorn because I dont have one 4- once you find the group go into the message friend option on the console 5- try to spell the extremely long and ridiculous name of the person in charge of the group. 6- wait for response 7-get no response 8- repeat steps 1 through 6 9- finally get response 10- get Into group 11- halfway through RANDOM group people go afk or group fails. 12- repeat steps 1 through 11 The way it should be...... 1- start game 2- push matchmaking button 3-play game 4-have fun The elite payers can still have their premade games, people can still solo and the none elites can have matchmaking we all win!!!! All I ask is for the option.

I love running with new people. This game really ticks me off sometimes so it's nice to see other people have fun at least
-
Yes there is a direct correlation between MM and raids Curious how? I run raids with my friends Who i found on MM
-
Answer is no because nobody uses in game chat. I use to run a clan that trained people in raids. Now I have detailed but simple guides with videos. Only Bungie blocks them from search.

7 OdpowiedziWould also be cool if there was a practice mode, no loot drops, plays the same as the regular raid but everything has very defence. It's hard to teach 4 or 5 new people how to raid when they all die in about 3 minutes into each new checkpoint lol!
-
Yes to this. ^^ Great Idea. Leader match making would be amazing.

1 OdpowiedźI love to do it, as I want to give newcomers the welcome and experiences that I never had. My first raid included petty insults about noobs, downright rudeness, and being kicked before ATHEON rewards, despite spending 4 hours on VOG :(
-
I always find it better to help new ppl ever time because I find it better that ppl can look at one another and say they did this all because they learned from me. I'm pleased that they've grown so well.
-
I only help new people on normal crota, i feel that after they learn the basics, ive done my job and hope to find them helping others

1 OdpowiedźI enjoy getting new people in. I think it's fun when we win and they get excited about having the chance to do a raid. When I post in the forums looking for an extra in a raid I let folks know you don't need experience or a gally.

1 OdpowiedźI love to hell low levels through raids. I'm on Xbox one gt is the same as above message and I'll be glad to help
-
3 OdpowiedziDefinitely. I frequent LFG to look for posts to help lower levels out all the time when I get bored or done with my daily activities. It's. Great way to make new friends and who knows these people may be the ones you're going 9-0 with in trials in the future.

1 OdpowiedźYes, to every question.
-
1 OdpowiedźAbsolutely , I love the feeling of helping people, also it's awesome when they get excited about getting a raid weapon that most of us delete or never use..these people need to experience raids and imo the best weapons in game
-
1 OdpowiedźIll help people As long as they have a mic and/or are not annoying
-
10 OdpowiedziI help newbs not noobs. That being said I probably wouldn't but only because they made raiding irrelevant for me by not changing the loot tables
-
3 OdpowiedziI already help people out when they ask so why not, I am always up for some fun. But they also need to be able to communicate, if they don't understand a part of the raid then they need to speak up. If they are being overrun they need to call it out. I'm not asking for casual conversation, just contribute.

1 OdpowiedźI sure don't mind helping those that haven't done raid yet, only if they put MM in the game.
