Thorn is a Crutch
I know all the Thorn babies are gonna get bent out of shape about this but overall, it takes little skill to kill in PvP with this thing.
Before all the kids go "You're just jealous cause you don't have it", check yourself m8. I do have it and I prefer not to use it cause I'd like to have some sort of integrity.
If the burn was shortened, the RoF was lowered just a bit and the mag size was returned to 6, the gun wouldn't be any more broken than any other gun.
Who here is tired of the Green Sh*t Shooter? :D
EDIT: I love how the kids in opposition don't counter my argument by stating that Thorn is not overpowered xD
EDIT: I personally did not expect so many replies :O from the comments that I've seen, the general nerf wanted is:
•slower rate of fire
•decrease range
•have burn stop when user gets killed
•decrease time of burn
Also I love seeing the arguments against me saying that I should do certain things and fighting thorn becomes a cake walk. I know how to play peoples, had the game since week 2 xD just saying there are little working tactics against a team with 4+ Thorns (basically every IB game right now)

Thanks to thorn, found verdict, and golden gun I achieved 25 and 0 your right thorn doesn't need skill but if you score headshots everytime with that gun you got skill and so what I'm trying to say is sorry for the people that I rekt yesterday in iron banner

4 OdpowiedziIf you use read death, which I believe you said you do, then shouldn't your life regen cancel out the DoT from thorn? And if that's the case then they are either killing you with the shots and not the DoT faster than you can kill them or you are hiding, running from a fight, and letting the DoT kill you. Either way, it sounds like you're just not playing very smart. And red death is just as OP as thorn, so, I really don't think you should be complaining.

Who cares? People use what feels comfortable to them to use. I used and still use Thorn a lot but not as much since I got Hawkmoon. Look at players like RealKraftyy. I don't know if you've watched his streams but he mains a No Land Beyond and Longbow Synthesis. Why? Cuz the way the weapon feels. He can kill with what many deem the worst weapon in the game very easily. There are still players using auto rifles. Why? Cuz they have grown accustomed to using them and can handle them better than others. Same goes with pulse rifles and scout rifles, as well as shotguns and snipers and fusion rifles. So to say that a specific weapon is a crutch IS completely retarded.

Glad to see you don't want to use the weapon, but I earned back before it was nerfed, then buffed. & I don't need to see it go the way of Suros & Vex, because people are too lazy to come up with a strategy that works, like seeking hard cover, instead of trying to trade shots, which is what most of my victims do.If anything it needs to loose the Final Round perk, or have it's mag dropped to 7 rounds.

If the Mag size is reduced, people will then moan about it having final round and still getting killed in 2-3 shots, if thorn is nerfed it'll be the last word next on everyone's list, then what? 1hk for sniper headshots? The issue is here because everyone's favourite auto rifles were nerfed to crap, that needs to fixed.

Thorn is a binky to a lot of people, but there are also those who are very skilled with it and can proc head shots often. I got a Thorn, and I use it too, but not exclusively. All guns have their purpose in the game. I never used Pulse Rifles until I got The Messenger (Adept) and now I am running that as my primary and love it. There will always be more popular\better guns. Finding a way to beat them should be a challenge and fun. If you can dominate and frustrate a Thorn user, that would make it even better. And as the say, if ya can't beat em, join em. #shrugs

I'm okay at PvP. I'm not great, but I'm decent. But you bet your ass I'm gonna use Thorn to get my wins for my etheric light so I can go back to PvE.

2 Odpowiedzito some maybe but not others. Some are just choosing to use a good weapon and are also very good players. Those are the dangerous ones who get these weapons in trouble because no matter what they have in their hands they take out everyone. you could give them about anyting and they will still put it on most of those who start these threads. PS I don't use it in PVP. My son uses our hunter in pvp with it though and just lately his skills have improved in pvp and it is hard to watch him cut through the ranks of the other team some times. He is young and still not always on his game but when he is it would matter little the weapon it is just the weapon that suits his style of play.

The Last Word pretty much wins every CC situation it's in and you're complaining about Thorn? All Exotic HC are awesome. They are supposed to be. Now get over yourself and move on. If you're dumb enough not to use one of the best guns in the game out of some idiotic sense of superiority in a video game, you go right ahead and shelf it but please stop filling the forums with your whining.

My warlock is my main character and the one I spent close to 80% of my destiny time on. Done all the Iron banners with him. Just happens this time around I'm running my Titan in IB and the thorn is the weapon I run on my titan usually. So yea, my green slime shells will be penetrating you soon 😎
