Ive recently been playing alot of Destiny's competitive gamemodes(PvP if you're a little thick)
And I have noticed the amount of broken items and mechanics that are present in these gamemodes, with a couple of subjects, specificly 3 main topics, featuring all aspects of the PvP gameplay.
These subjects are as following:
1.Weapons(Mainly Hand-Cannons)
2.Maps
3.Abilities(mainly sticky grenades)
Now before i go further, these are MY opinions, and although you might disagree with them, please do not flame or hate on the things, i will try to explain. If you are to discuss any of the critisised topics, please do so in a civil way, with actual arguments, not just "URHH, UR MOM, LOL".
Now to get started...
I will of start off on the topics of items and weapons, hand cannons in particular.
Hands cannons, mainly the exotic one are broken.
My definition of broken is something that is signifigantly more powerful in one or multiple aspects compared to other items/other groups of items. The hand cannons live up to these requirements, something you will first notice in the killtime of the weapons. I believe that The Last Word has the highest primary killspeed not counting certain statues effects or special weapons like No Land Beyond. Thorn is a 2 shot kill guaranteed unless they have some health buff/effect. The firerate might be a bit lower, but the damage and the perks makes up for this x10. Now, i use xbox so i dont know how bad Hawkmoon is, but i can imagine its way OP too, dude to all the hype about it. The most important thing however, is the ease of which you can learn to land 2-3 headshots in rapid succesion. It takes anywhere from 5-20hours to learn this to an adept/"expert" level which is completely stupid compared to the already broken stats of the guns. Thats my argumentation for hand cannons, they should get a nerf, along with an extra nerf for the exotic hand cannons in the game.
Moving on to another weapon type in this game which is somewhat broken is the shotguns. The new ability to reroll will not make this much better as people will be running around with shotguns stronger than Felwinters.... The shotguns are especially strong with blink/glide/fast moving as you can almost always get close enough to kill if you know a tiny bit of positioning around the map. This has however gotten better in the larger gametypes as special ammo is more rate which is great for everything. Last thing in the weapons and items topic would be the abusing of weapon perks.... Getting a high impact sniper with last round? "INSTAKILL ANYWHERE"
Shotguns with the same thing, it adds alot more range. Now its true it makes enemies vulnarable to multiple attacks, what about something Trials of Osiris? Small teams, people covering your back. This is abusing of a perk which should be considered abusing the game of an unexpected fault. Just like pushing Atheon off, or getting an infinite kneel crota. It is in all means, a PvP cheese.
Moving on to the maps. They are usually in favor of one team over another, and although a good team knows how to switch, you dont always get a good team in random matchmaking. This is making the PvP more unfair for the team which gets the 'bad' side of the map and thus is giving the other team and advantage. This should have far more focus since it can be quite gamebreaking in certain aspects.
Moving to the abilities, this is not as much supers as it is grenades and melees. Be aware of that before you begin to hate. Anyway, im gonna start off with sticky grenades. Why? Just why would you put something in a competitive setting that is an instakill on medium/short range? The plasma grenades in Halo were fine, but these are like homing freaking missiles, they can even turn cornors to get to a person and secure a kill. Thats stupid to put in a game which features PvP, do you not think Bungie?
Next thing is blink. Although a bit harder to use than sticky grenades still annoying as hell. TELEPORTATION JUMPING IN COMPETITIVE?!?!?!? WHYYYYYY?
Anyway, its really broken with a good shotgun and a decent map awareness put on top, so it should be nerfed or removed too. Now to the melees. WHO would get the idea to makes WARLOCKS melee have the best range AND abilities. Oh wait, same people who put in hand cannons, sticky grenades and blink.. Yeah nvm that.
Anyway, why would you do that when titan is supposed to be tank? And i wont even start on the self resurrection.
Now to perhaps the biggest issue of Destiny PvP...
The lag. Im not talking about local lag, im talkiging about server lag. Now, i have really high fibet networking, so its not my internet for sure, which has never had trouble anyways. And it happens to everyone. One player may shoot another player just foe that player to take half damage and have moved a couple of feet in some direction. This is horrid, and it makes every aspect of the already broken PvP mors stupid. Sticky nades, blink shotguns all benefit from this, everyone else are just -blam!-ed.
I sincerely hope i changed some minds with this post, and i must excuse my spelling errors and mistakes, English is my third language and im sittting up 00:40 in the night to write this, tired as shit from a long day.
Anyways, please adress some of these issues bungie, i didnt buy a beta game, fix your glitches and broken parts please :).

people playing this game should try other shooters because this is the worst one by a long way

Edytowany przez użytkownika find_me8 シ (Wally): 5/24/2015 4:59:06 PMI strongly agree that the maps give an enormous advantage to one of the teams once 2 points are captured (i'm so glad that trials of osiris are skirmish matches) and that almost all of the maps force you to close quarter combat. I'm fine with the rest to be honest.

Everything is good except F U C KING THORN AND SHOTGUNS

8 OdpowiedziThe only way I could see destiny pvp becoming more balanced is to have legendary weapons only, no heavy, you spawn with no secondary, and lose secondary upon death. It would be the most competitive mode.

1 OdpowiedźDestiny PvP is different. Not broken.
-
It seems better post expansion, but it still needs a lot of work.
-
It's been broken since first auto rifle NeRf, then it keeps getting worse.
-
You wrote this 4-page letter and bungie still released the HoW expansion with all these problems. In other words these f.ucks don't give a s.hit. They are too busy doing the back stroke in our money like scrooge mcduck.

Let's just delete warlocks, hand cannons, shotguns, sticky grenades, snipers, and blink from the whole game, so people can instead complain about invisibility and shoulder charge and Arc Blade and Pulse Rifles and Fist of Havoc and Golden Gun and Gally and Truth and Thunderlord and Vex Mythoclast. Nvm all that, let's just have everyone be Defenders who only use nerfed auto rifles and scout rifles and suppressor grenades. God forbid they double jump or sprint though, that's getting close to blinking. *sigh* There will ALWAYS be something we find OP, simply because we never work out a way to counter it and don't feel like figuring it out. That, combined with rampant nerfing, and almost purposely lackluster Exotics — as opposed to very well made ones, namely the Hand Cannons — is why we have such a rough time when discussing PvP balance. I stand by it when I say Thorn, TLW, and Hawkmoon are FINE, but the weapons that should challenge them are NOT. NLB, Mida, SUROS, Hard Light, Monte Carlo, auto rifle, fusions (sans Vex), and scouts in general all could stand to receive a slight buff or rework. On class skills, that's what makes them unique! Every single subclass has something to complain about, some special power that the others don't have, and instead of thinking around it we just complain about why it makes us die in a game mode where death is as common as air. I appreciate your post, you took the time to get your thoughts out. I don't appreciate people asking for things to be removed or nerfed, when really they should be asked for things to be brought to a level playing field! Old SUROS and new Red Death are essentially equals, but nerfs have ruined that rivalry Tldr, nerfs suck man

11 OdpowiedziShotguns aren't as good, final round doesn't exist on snipers, all the new perks are bad compared to old ones. Also if you take that time to practice with a gun not being a handcannon guess what? You'll win. Different playstyle. The only problem is the maps. And slightlyHC only because autos need a buff
-
And let the pve crybabies pour their tears onto the forum.
-
1 OdpowiedźIm aware that there is tons of posts like these, but we NEED more awareness, we need Bungie to ACT, instead of talk
-
2 OdpowiedziThey definitely know that final round snipers are a problem. The perk doesn't exist on any new snipers at least.

OMG, I read it all... I Applaud you as English is your third language (I am curious what your first and second are) I know only English, and small fragments of others... Sticky Grenades I have noticed, when using, do not seem to work well, since I can stick someone, and they will not die, not even lose quite half their health. Self resurrecting sunsingers, I usually have no problem with since I usually have a shotgun, or am at a distance with a sniper, or keeping a safe distance with an effective fusion... sometimes they get me, decently we get each other, and usually, I drop them a second time and say to my TV "Stay down! The dead shall not walk on my watch!" ... They do not usually self res when I am around, so its an uncommon occurrence and I will be as dramatic as I want when it happens. I get more kills with my vortex grenades since players seem to either not be thinking 100%, or accidentally backing into them. (My friend got a triple down with his Gunslinger Sticky... Yea thats right, everyone who reads this beware, he stuck a person in the face with a tripmine and took out 3 players, what good aim since trips do not track!
Nah, he got lucky throwing it through Point B entrance (blind) to outside on burning shrine, we couldn't stop laughing that out of sight, he got "Get it off!" and "Triple down"
