BUNGIE will PUNISH you if you dont buy the expansion packs...
TO THOSE WHO DONT HAVE THE EXPANSION PACKS - I hope you had no plans to go to xur next xurday because you would find that the weekly and nightfall strikes are both the Omnigul one which is from the dark below. Hey Bungie, nice incentive in buying your so called expansion (i would just call it an overpriced DLC). Punishing those who chose not to buy this locked content and rewarding those who buy it with more grind is just terrible. I play a lot of destiny and had intentions in buying the so called expansion packs HOWEVER there is a significant amount of proof that suggest that these expansions were once part of a bigger game and story therefore i will not be making a purchase. BUNGIE,s business strategy is to penalize those players (which is wrong) they could easily give those players a different strike and nightfall but chooses not to because they want you to buy there locked content (which i wont be doing) This video explains it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJfYbwr00oA

2 OdpowiedziNever before have I played a game this much. I also enjoy playing every single day. As of today I have 656 hours clocked on Destiny. I paid $90 for the game with both expansions. I also got a red ghost! I'd say I've gotten more than my money's worth. How much do you pay for TV every month? How much did you pay to watch GoT? No comparison. Destiny win.

With that said, if you decide you don't want to buy something you can't exactly turn around and complain that they won't let you play something you didn't pay for. I am failing to see the logic behind that one.

Maybe I'm just looking at it wrong but is everybody expecting the updates and additional content (dlc or whatever you want to call it) to be free and just keep playing this game forever? If I completed everything in the game and couldn't do any more I'd consider it beating the game. At that point I'd either move on to a new game or cough up the few $$ (I think I paid $32 for the expansion pass on sale) if I was really into it. Whatever... I only have $72 into this game and have played it for the equivalent of 15 straight days so far. I'm happy and feel like I got every $ worth 10x over.

Look at it another way. Most games give us a lot less game play. I am an old fart and was totally new to this type of gaming, I got cod first and finished it in about five hours. This took me a lot longer. I got heaps more for my buck with destiny. Love it!

I don't her these kind of post. How much is the expansion? Like 20$? If you could afford a console and the base game you should be able to buy the expansion. If you think it's to expensive just move on!

Are you still bitching...how many times you gonna whine about this. You get what you paid for and so do those that bought the DLC. And of course they have planned content, series is set out over 10 years...hell look at WoW, every 2 years a new xpac that you pay for if you want to continue the story and play the new content. I like others do enjoy this game...you, like others dont...so why not go play a game you enjoy.

The expansion packs are part of the bigger story? No way! Guess what! Destiny 2 and 3 are going to be part of the bigger story as well. Maybe they should have just given out Destiny 2 and 3 right at launch!

Anyone who still plays Destiny and doesn't buy the expansions (which I view as also just supporting them to continue to refine, update and fix the game for everyone without having a monthly subscription) is just being a cheap ass. The season pass isn't even equivalent to 1 hours wage. Just forgo a couple packs of your cigarettes and a few quarts of whatever bargin malt liquor you drink to dull the pain and buy the season pass...
