Ive only just bought Destiny, absolutely LOVE it - best game ive EVER played.. My question is - am I too late to really fully enjoy destiny this far into its life cycle? I want to eventually get into PvP and Co-op missions ... I've been told to wait til around lvl20 before I even consider that, would that be true? Problem is, none of my friends play Destiny.. so would I find it hard to get a match? - Loving the community feel already, people are so nice!

Not at all but try to lay off the forums

1 Odpowiedźmostly, the forum is toxic. but if you get into a clan or find a good few folks to play with... this game opens up to a massive new entity. the feeling when you finally down a raid boss for the first time is one of the best I've felt in a game, it's ELECTRIC and wants you coming back for more. so many are dissatisfied and dissolutioned with this game, but TRUE guardians come back... again and again! stick with it man, so much more to come ;)
-
You can enjoy it, but you've missed out on alot of the fun.
-
Not too late at all dude. If you buy both dlc you've got one hell of a journey ahead of you. My advice is if you get HoW I wouldn't rush to get to the max level. Do VoG and crota and then HoW. You'll have a hell of a ride and I'm sure there will be plenty of people still running the old content too.
-
I just started a new character from scratch, let me tell you it has been a lot of fun working on a character again. You'll enjoy working on your first especially since you'll have more missions in the dlc next week
-
Dude you will be fine. Get House of Wolves and you can dive right into being an Elite Guardian.
-
With the HouseOfWolves DLC around the corner, you'll have the smoothest growth style yet, you'll be fine. The recruitment section here is great for finding fireteams.
-
Use a destiny lfg site when your a high enough level and you can find people to do anything. Try some match made strikes when your high enough level too.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Pixel Crisis: 5/11/2015 7:43:02 PMIt's not too late, things will just be nice and new to you while we've all been playing the same content for a while. If you need people to play with, try this forum under "recruitment" and there are many 3rd party sites that were made to help Destiny players (since Bungie couldn't be bothered with an in Game LFG /LFM system). They are www.the100.io (I hear this is great for finding a large player base that play at the same times that you do etc) also there is destinylfg.com, destinylfg.net, and even reddit has a /r/fireteams area to find people to run strikes / nightfalls, raids, etc with. Enjoy Destiny!

I'll help you out if you're on XB1. Add XPLOSIVE BEOH
-
Its never too late. Reach 20 b4 how drops, and youll be sweet
-
If you're on xb one, look me up I'll help ya out. I'll even go with you on hard mission for your level and help you through them. Lvl 20 is really where the game starts because then you can get the the armor you need to do the high level strikes and raids.
-
Its not too late but when you first start it will take a long time to get from 20 to 26. I'd suggest doing strikes as soon as you can and do as many as you can each week to get vanguard credits or whatever they're called to buy legendary gear.
-
Its not to late to start... spent last week helping friends bust past lvl 20.. Dont be afraid to use recruitment.. post your console here and a little info.. prolly get a ton off friends straight off..
-
Need a gamer add myself on ps4 always helping people and always on
-
I found some people on lfg (the link) Who were really cool and we all liked each other and friended each other, using an lfg site is very useful and helps you make new friends and find teams extremely fast! Hope that helps.

5 Odpowiedzi
best game I've ever played
You've been playing some horrible games then lmao
-
people are so nice!
That's like....a unicorn! On a more serious note, you are coming in at possibly the best time.
-
Yeah dude play! You have so much content to explore between the 2 raids and HoW coming out. It may be overwhelming at first but with the new way to level gear you'll be able to rank up quickly and enjoy everything
-
when you hit 20 the game really starts. leveling to 20 is a warm up for it
-
6 OdpowiedziDestiny is still in its youth right now. It's a great time to get into it with the upcoming expansion. Find a few people here or there to play with. You mainly only need two core players for your fireteam. My suggestion is to have your favourite character ready to go for the DLC if you're getting it.
-
20 is easy to get to. Can be done in a dad. A week if you don't play much. Focus on bounties. If you have good skill you can do fine in PVP as the base mode is not lvl sensitive. The best stuff is up at the upper 20s or higher. With new DLC close save your marks, it'll save you some time. But do try to find a group to run with. Some will group up to run bounties so they seem less boring. Once you get around 26 you could start looking at VoG which is a lot of fun as a new challenge. If you want the full experience get other new players to run it with. This will be more frustrating but it'll also feel like more of an accomplishment. From there you can gain lvls from gear and maybe try hard mode if you get good drops. But you'd have a hard time getting there before new dlc while saving marks unless you get good drops.
-
I guess I haven't really thought about that question before, what it would be like to jump in now versus day 1. I believe most of the experience would be the same but I think you might miss out on some of the more difficult aspects (albeit the more fun in my opinion). I say this because most of the fun for me in the beginning was figuring the best way to complete different aspects of the game with others. Nowadays it seems like everyone "knows" how to do it and will instruct you in their own way. This would take some of the fun out of it for me. Let me know if you're on PS4 and want to run some stuff.
-
Try the 100 for matching with people... But yeah... Need to be 28+ really...
-
Not at all, still plenty of life left in the old girl, and with HoW about to drop you'll get access to the weapons and armour we've all been waiting months for. My advice is to look through the recruitment forum and try to join a clan. I've met some great friends through the clans I've been part of
-
Never too late. Between the 3 character types, all the weapons selections, and the recruitment forum here for raids/Nightfalls, you can rock this for a while.
