Ive only just bought Destiny, absolutely LOVE it - best game ive EVER played.. My question is - am I too late to really fully enjoy destiny this far into its life cycle? I want to eventually get into PvP and Co-op missions ... I've been told to wait til around lvl20 before I even consider that, would that be true? Problem is, none of my friends play Destiny.. so would I find it hard to get a match? - Loving the community feel already, people are so nice!

You can still enjoy it as much as I still do from day one. You have catching up to do of course but there will be so many people wanting to do raids and nightfalls and you can always find people on here. Don't let other people put you down!
-
I was pretty late to the game too. You'll always feel a bit behind the curve. But there are people out there who are cool to play with. Just use the app to find people, or join a group.

Definitely play PVP before lvl 20. Fastest way to level up to 20 is to do pvp and do missions on easy and rush through them. Dont forget your bounties. Finish bounties before anything else or while doing certain missions and in pvp. Once you're lvl 24 hit me up and ill run you through with my squad on Vault of Glass raid and get you some good shit. Then when you're 27 we can run you through crota. It's fun dude!

It's not too late

Edytowany przez użytkownika SulfonicDoor: 5/11/2015 9:28:11 PMDo it the way you like man, sorta like the subway thing, and, you are never too late, now more than ever with the new DLC, all the raids are relevant, and it's quicker and easier to reach lvl34 :) Edit: I mean, the subway advert they used to have...

This is the perfect time to get into it. 2 content releases if you enjoy the game, will keep you busy for awhile.
-
Post a topic saying you're level 6 and looking to run the story with similar levels / what console / psn or gt etc Though I'm are a bunch of people have already offered
-
It's possibly the best time to start this game because there is a ton of work for you to do to catch up and the thin content of the original launch have been semi covered up
-
Don't worry about waiting until you get levelled to play PvP either. Some of the common weapons wreck in crucible. I'm doing fair with a Duke hand cannon. PvP is actually a good way to get levels up quickly

4 OdpowiedziActually your not very far in its life cycle. Since its a 10 year project and we haven't even finished the first year yet

Destiny caters to players like you. You are not behind by much. Maybe a month behind. That's not much in terms of gaming. You are fine to play.
-
Find a good group to play with. Most will help you power level to 20 for you. You'll need a group with patience once you start to raid because you'll make noob mistakes (which is totally normal) that vets don't make anymore. Raids now are all about quickly getting thru to get the loot. Good luck. Enjoy. You'll be a pro in no time!

Edytowany przez użytkownika U10350760: 5/11/2015 9:03:29 PMYou might be a little behind the curve because those of us still playing have so many hours logged, but just like any other game you have to start somewhere and you'll eventually get to the top if thats what you want. It just takes time, and with destiny it takes a lot hahah

Never too late. The game is really just getting rolling.

You will never lack people to do anything with if you post in recruitment. You're coming in at an awesome time. You're going to have so much content you won't get tired of this game for a whiiile. I came in right at the release of the first expansion and I still love what this game has to offer. If your on XB1 add me (BrickCityRiot). I can walk you through some of the endgame content if you like. I play about 6 days a week.
-
You can do pvp whatever level, unless it's the iron banner, there aren't any level advantages. Go for it!
-
Never to late
-
Definitely not too late. We aren't even halfway into expansions. I'll play crucible with you if you want! And strikes when you can do them. I'm on Xbox one if you want

PVP is great no matter what level. But lvl 20 grants better weps for both PVE and PVP.

There are plenty of ways to find Destiny friends, my advice would be to join a clan. This is what clans are for, getting new players together and getting help from one another. I know it may be intimidating to apply for one, but the benefits are worth it. I have met my Destiny friends all through the Light Apostles clan, and we still play together on a regular basis. It is also really helpful place to ask questions or ask for help from another player, as some stuff in Destiny require teammates (aka: Raids). If you are looking to join a friendly clan on all consoles, apply for The Light Apostles. Friendly people, across all platforms. This is where i personally started out from. If you are on the PS4, you are more than welcome to apply to The Dark Apostle (no affiliation with The Light Apostles), we are a smaller clan that focuses more on end game content (Raids, trophies, crucible), but I am an admin in there and would welcome you and gladly help you out.

Find a clan and enjoy. People will help you through. Ageless guardians is an over 25's clan I'm part of the ps 4 section I've found em to be very helpful

with all the nerfs you missed you picked a good time to play start playing it as far as I'm concerned. people still do everything thats available so you wont miss out on much content wise but you miss out on all the butthurt caused by the nerfs. you can PVP at any level you want and you wont find it hard to get a group as matchmaking works you right in but most of the matchmade co-op and end game stuff without co-op requires higher levels.

Allenbih add me if on xbox one

Lmao you're better off now, You don't get to know how good auto rifles once were. You don't have to wait for dlcs they didn't get done on time. You don't have to grind for 30, or really even 32. No disappointment when you had to relevel your treasured exotics. Xur already sold Gally, and never will again so you don't have to get your hopes up. Everyone hates you unless your maxed level and don't have the aforementioned exotic rocket launcher we all know and love. The loot cave is now just disturbable remains. And did I mention, auto rifles suck, but you never knew there greatness.
