Give your reasons below.
Also is it socially acceptable to describe someone as black these days?
-edit-
Idris Elba is strongly linked to be the next bond
You'll recognise him from pacific rim and Thor

3 OdpowiedziNo Not because I don't like blacks, but because he's been white in every movie. I can't even stand to see someone else play his part that doesn't look like him.
-
No, not because I'm racist, because it's out of place. The same reason they made "thor a girl." It's not sexist, it just doesn't make any -blam!-ing sense for the lore. James Bond as a character is white.
-
Make a new, black super spy. New code # 012 James Brown.
-
1 OdpowiedźThe guy on Arrow. Who was married to Oliver's mom. He'd do great.
-
2 OdpowiedziWho cares? Why does everything need to be made black to be considered socially acceptable these days?
-
No, it's black-washing our white movies.
-
As long as he has a deep voice, I'm cool with it
-
Unless it was Ian fleming's intent to not mention James bond's racial heritage, of course I would. If bond is SUPPOSED to be Caucasian then I would not.
-
This post reminds me of the outrage when human torch in the new fantastic four was revealed as black
-
Jamal brond?
-
Anyone who put no is probably a racist waste of oxygen.

Edytowany przez użytkownika Homey: 5/10/2015 9:26:42 PMI don't even watch 007 so I couldn't care less People are too afraid to see something different, just like Electro in Spider-Man, I mean come on seriously But let's say I know about these Bond movies If I grew really attached to a character in a movie, I wouldn't want them to change unless that is how the original story says it should be
-
11 OdpowiedziIf the Bond theory is correct, then yes. If the Bond theory is incorrect, still yes since it's a fictional character. As for the actor you mentioned, I do think he's a little old to start playing the part, but I'll get over that.

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika Commando love: 5/10/2015 8:24:48 PMI love how every "No" reason is "I don't want his appearance to change." Not like it happens every decade.
fite me
-
Absolutely. James Bond is a personality, a set of mannerisms. He's like Santa Claus or any other mythical character. He doesn't always look the same because he's not real.
-
I voted no because when I think of Bond, I immediately think blue eyes and black hair. It's not a big deal, but I just can't see Bond being anyone else.
-
3 OdpowiedziHard enough coping with a Woman Thor...so probably not.
-
Yes. I have no problem with that. Idris Elba is one of my fav actors but I don't think he's a good fit for the role. He would make a better Bond villain imo.
-
I would actually be interested in seeing how that would work
-
James must be Morgan freeman. The girl must be Megan Fox
-
Idris is worthy. Bond has never been the actor anyways, just a body of particular characteristics.
-
That's like making Ghostbusters with females oh wait

1 OdpowiedźEdytowany przez użytkownika LaChef128: 5/10/2015 12:59:44 PMDon't care? But why black? Why not a British Asian James bond?
-
Not that I am racist or anything but it just wouldn't make sense
-
1 OdpowiedźIf it's idris Elba I'll be happy
-
2 OdpowiedziJames Bond is supposed to be a traditional, charismatic Britbong. A black James wouldn't really fit as he wouldn't have the same British flair that bond has.
I wouldn't mind if there was an original super spy character who was black. Don't change a white character into a black character just because you can. Make new and original characters.
