Who says destinys dead? 130,000 people watched the twitch stream in the middle of the day for most people. Long live this phenomenal game. One of the best I've ever played and I am stoked for HoW. What's your most exciting thing that was revealed? Mine has to be weapon reforging or upgrading old equipment.
Edit: For those that are wondering, I am saying that 130,000 people watching in the middle of the day is a lot of people. Those that say "yea but they sold x amount of copies, and this isn't a lot," don't fool yourself. Probably over 75% of the players that play destiny didnt watch it live, will watch it when they get off work / school, or even know how to watch it. 130k people watching it live is a very big amount
Edit 2: Also I can't wait for a 365 TDYK!! It will be the first gun I upgrade.
Edit 3: Just posted the link to the reveal for those who didn't see it. Almost at 500 replies! Let's see if we can get there!
Edit 4: Wow guys 691 replies!!! Awesome! I'm glad to see majority of the people are as excited as I am about this. I find it funny people are still trying to bash this game, yet majority of those have recently played. Momma always said stupid is as stupid does.
Edit 5: For those still putting down below, I am saying that even though most people were in school, work, dont know what twitch is, the stream was too early or too late, 130k people is a lot of people and shows how much interest there still is in this game.

I would have expected a lot more views. I mean a lot more. 130,000? Considering how many millions of games were sold, I'd say that's evidence that it actually is dying.

those who couldnt watch it and watched breakdowns and such on youtube like i did, respect destiny

3 OdpowiedziHold your ground! Hold your ground! Sons of the light, of the tower, my brothers, I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of the light fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of trolls and shattered guardians, when the age of Destiny comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we fight!! By all that you hold dear on this good game, I bid you stand, guardians of the light!!!

6 OdpowiedziThere are MILLIONS watching Starcraft at ANY time of the day. Soooo, yeah. Game is dying. Not dead. But it's gonna be like Titanfall.
-
1 OdpowiedźYeah if only 100k people buy/bought the expansion, that's a commercial failure vs. the budget. Yes, people were at work and junk, but still pretty low turnout vs. the amount of people they claim play the game. The game has been grindy junk for too long. Hopefully this changes but I dont see it changing. It's still going to be a mindless grind with little variety.

Meanwhile, league of legends still has streamers with easy 300k+ viewers at any given time.

The whole internet tried to kill destiny from day 1. But the reality is destiny fills that whole like nothing else. Yes it could be better, but it's still better than anything else at this time.

Hyped for May 19th

It was more like 160k

Watching a stream and playing a game are different... I watch blood borne streams but don't play the game... I like to stay informed even if I am not connected to every game. ... plus many people look at this as bungies last chance and are curious if there is anything worth coming back to... on top of that people love gothalion.... and love to watch bungie sweat.... what better way than their last effort streams

Dude I am so stoked to actually have a use for my ascendant shards and energy. I can't wait to trade them in!!!

13 Odpowiedzi160k is only 5% of the average 3.2m people that play daily. That's a promotional failure or a coverup.

14 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika fjelwick: 4/24/2015 6:42:49 AMLoads of people log on to destiny daily. For anyone saying it is, this game is not dead. Edit: Also 130,000+ people tuned it to the reef stream on Wednesday, and it was at 11am PST, not the best time to show. It got destiny to the second viewed game.

Would've been more but most people are at work or school during that time
-
2 OdpowiedziYou know roughly 10% of those that logged in to watch don't even play the game right? lol. Businesses watch each others marketing. They pay other people to watch as well. And give notes etc... And there's some really lame people that stare at twitch all day.. it's creepy.

I agree with OP. That was my first ever live stream. I had to download and create twitch stuff just to watch. It was exciting and fun to see the new content. And for the middle of a work/school day, I'd say 130k+ is quite a significant number.

When this game came out in pretty sure it had about 5-10 million players or Atleast bought copies. So really it did die a ton.
