I'm done defending 31's
So plain and simple, the 31's from 2 months ago are not the same as the ones today. I cringe every time I join Crota HM raid group off the forums. I usually see 2-3 31's and possibly a 30 who are trying to get carried through. I'm not the best player but I can hold my own because being a 32 gives you a little room for error. No matter how good you THINK you are, a well placed boomer shot is taking you down. It's the same story everytime. So if you're a 31, don't get offended when someone kicks you, they are just trying to save their sanity.
Edit: Ok, I guess I should clarify some things.
1. If you have two 32's but are trying to run your third character who happens to be a 31, you're fine. I'm talking about 31's with less than 10 normal completions.
2. Getting smoked by a boomer is a rare occurrence but it does happen. It happens more often with low levels.
3. Obviously my post refers to the past. I have done more than my share of teaching and carrying, probably more than most who have replied to this post. This wasn't just one bad run and now I'm slamming every 31.
4. If you are lfg in the forums on hard mode, please at least have the decency to tell people you are a lower level. This way an awkward silence followed by a return to orbit doesn't happen.

I don't defend people based on level. I judge skill. Of course anyone with 1700(ish) grim score at level 31/32 I don't expect much out of to be honest.

7 OdpowiedziBy now you should have your set raid group, and a few alternates. We have a group of 3-4 of the same exact people, with another 2-4 people who we could add at a moments notice. Raiding with randoms is terrible. For the hell of it one time I joined a random invite. First everyone except me spoke Portuguese. Second, to try to take crota down to a knee, they all used their primaries. I was the only one shooting rockets. Save yourself the headache. Start getting together a group of regulars.

5 OdpowiedziAgreed. 31 at the release of hard mode? Fair enough. It's now 20+ weeks since the release of CE. you can easily get to 32 in 5 normal raids. Or 0 raids with iron banner gear. At this point you either don't care about being 32 or don't want to try. Exception if you have only had the game for a few weeks of course. All of which I am fine with. Anyway you look at it, carrying a 31 or below through hard is a handicap against your team. 9 times out of 10 a full set of 32s will get it done faster.

U have a good point. Me im a 31 and i rarely die a non oversoul death (meaning i was not killed first). I have been able to hold my own in crota hard. 31's do tend to die more often i will give u that but if the 31 is smart and aware of his surroundings he should be fine.

3 OdpowiedziYour an idiot 31 can do Crota on hard easy as I been in a team where we had 3 31 1 32 sb and still kick crota ass. But we all did have g horns. There no problem with 31 as long as they have a tracking rocket or know to aim at his feet and willing to learn. I got 1 character still 31 because the damm boots won't drop and I got everything else except the crux

I'm done hearing and reading about level advantage. I know that each level higher increases your damage and defense. But I've seen all levels of player fail in pve and pvp. So it doesn't matter. one or two level difference in raids is understandable but anything else it's whatever

2 OdpowiedziI have more HM completions than normal mode. Still, less than 10. I'm not carried, though I do die. I get in and fight like 32's. Maybe keeping a bit more distance and taking longer since I don't do as much damage. I understand the frustration with people that don't do their part in anything but that isn't just 31's. There are plenty of 32's that a 27 could run circles around. Maybe you should edit your post to say you're tired of the people that just expect others to play the game for them.

I find it weird how when i find randoms the 32s are more humble and less annoying than 31s

2 OdpowiedziRan the Crota hard checkpoint this morning with a couple 32s and the rest 31s. Beat him on the second try, I didn't even have my mic plugged in lol to easy of a raid.

Yesterday I carried my level 28 friend thought the abyss and bridge as my 31 warlock, and we managed to do both in about 30 minutes. I've done CE several times and know what I'm doing. He had never done it before. Needless to say I practically soloed the lamps, but he got a mantle and is now a 29. He didn't whine or complain, and did what I told him to. In comparison, I did VoG normal with a level 30 squeaker who obviously had never done it before. He lied and said he had. He sucked. He couldn't hold the Venus sync plate at gatekeepers [b]on normal.[/b]We kept wiping because we only had 4 people and he kept dying. I switched with him (I was on conflux duty) and I ended up having to do both at the same time, but we managed to do it first try. Some people......

It's a game and if people are honest about what they can do. Have fun Pick a job they can do like banging on the wall for Boomer duty. There are still people buying this game because it's fun and their friends have it and they need to level up just like we did. Remember it's a game to have fun.

1 OdpowiedźI have to agree. Anyone who doesn't have a 32 character by now is just plain inexperienced. I just don't understand why they just do normal mode or make multiple characters or something.

8 OdpowiedziWe make crota hard with only 1 lvl32 (swordbearer hunter), 2 lvl31 one with HoC and me (titan) with ghorn, 3 lvl30 that die in the summon room at beginning, so we finished the fight between 3 players (1 lvl32 and 2 lvl31)

Just think when how comes out we all are going to be noobs and some will be the 32s getting carried by the 33 and 34s

This is why I had to seek the assistance of "The Rookie Assistance Squad." Even though I'm not a rookie these guys have no problem "carrying" anyone through.

Edytowany przez użytkownika NateOrb: 4/11/2015 5:19:33 PM2 months ago most 31s were people who were just unlucky now most 31s are people who havent even got a full set of legendary gear and/or havent upgraded it(by gear i mean armor + weapons) On multiple occasions I have joined a group for hard vog then inspected people and seen 31s with like a rare rocket launcher, 279 attack mythoclast, and a half upgraded legendary sniper or a partially upgraded murmur I think from day 1 there should have been a raid progression system Complete normal VoG to do hard VoG Complete hard VoG to do normal CE Complete normal CE to do hard CE etc Could have also been like you need vog gauntlets/chest/leg armor to access hard mode then you need helmet to do CE etc but with that system there would have to be guaranteed rewards and a couple years down the road it will probably be nearly impossible to find a group for normal vog but for now it would be great(but if there was a solo mode it would be fine) edit to be clear theres nothing wrong with 31s the problem is how bungie handled the levels with TDB

1 OdpowiedźI carried a couple 30s before, but they understood that once the Crystal was activated they let a sword knight kill them off.

I always check their profile before inviting them making sure they are experienced.(Character, Level, maxed weapons, completions. Etc.)
