Who's arguing AGAINST matchmaking for raids/nightfall (and why)
Edit: originally posted before matching on the weekly*
*the options mean you get to run it normal or with matchmaking enabled (many folks are missing that point)

Myself- I'm all for the idea of matchmaking for these things..
But I know that there is a group of people out there who don't want the weekly nightfall or raids to be matchmaking.
-I don't completely understand why folks wouldn't want this? -after all. . I'd assume you could still run it as a regular team..
..only conclusion I can comprehend is: the players who've done it already. . Want to keep it like it was when they did it..
-are there any players who haven't done these events- that still don't want matchmaking?
Please enlighten me on this issue.
..because it would be nice to have that little bit of extra stuff to do (as a one man show)

After two thousand replies, the evidence is overwhelming. Folks would support matchmaking- if it equipped with the appropriate options.
I would like to see you guys take some time to consider what options you think would be suitable for the raids specifically.
I've read every post and replied to most of them and this is what I've seen so far.
-Matchmaking or fire team
-Team size select (1-6) players
-Fire team lockout (stop others from joining)
-Language select / mic enabled
-Team vote to kick
-level select
-Number of completes
Also.. need to cap the amount of times one can complete it.. (once day ect)
Feel free to build upon this list- as I will continue to view and keep tabs on what you guys want.
*checkpoints need some attention in the idea department so if you Wana go off on that topic- feel fee.
* matchmaking lobbies or similar things I often see as suggested methods to get this done as an alternative to matchmaking

I'd say yes nightfall no raids. Afk, trolls, tools and quitters could make them last forever

1 OdpowiedźFinding a team on LFG is part of the experience some people have a lot of bad experiences and I understand that but when you do find a good group it's something that brings people together if not I wouldn't have the friends that I do online

2 OdpowiedziMatchmaking in raid is a horrible idea esp when you level 34's can't -blam!-ing complete VOG or Crota raid this day in age cause it's there first time and there getting carried through (sad) or they don't have the needed skill (put it that way) to be a helping hand in a raid. You get matches with 5 people all level 34 but can't complete a raid. Your just wasting time. Raids and nightfall should not be matchmaking horrible idea forgot to mention AFKers in raids hurt the whole team eventually same goes for nightfall.

You can't boot bad players on matchmaking. And there are a lot of people who will try the hard mode with 0 experience and no microphone.

8 OdpowiedziHell no to matchmaking raids.... I want a team of six players I know and can depend on. I don't want the unfortunate circumstance of a micless afk'er in my raid. Use the forums to build your teams. It's easy, I ran one today that way.

1 OdpowiedźNo, I don't want matchmaking in destiny. It's... not about the game itself, it's about the people who play. If you have a bunch of randoms, you're never going to complete that raid. Nobody is coordinated, nobody is even close to on the same page, and nobody has a strategy because nobody is talking. You sit there with your thumb up your ass wondering if you're going to have to solo crota or atheon, or you're wondering if that player is just being lazy and wanting a free run to get loot or if they're really afk. Its and all around bad idea. It makes things a lot simpler than LFG, but it makes it impossible to complete.

1 OdpowiedźPeople dropping only 3-5 kills per game in crucible is a pretty good reason not to have raid matchmaking. It's frustrating having someone like that on your team in crucible, i could imagine how annoying it would be having someone like that while trying to do a raid.

1 OdpowiedźBecause not everyone has mics which in raids is key. Night falls like Omnigul and other ones require communication. How many times honestly speaking have you hopped in a strike and talked to a random. Me? 1 or 2 times. It just makes it harder

All I need is to read your title and I just don't agree if you're too lazy to organise a team through the designated section then I'm sorry. I've done strikes for the last how ever many months to be put into a fireteam of at least one fool that either wants to ride his pike or just shoot nothing or even just wait at the spawn point right at the start. Raids I mostly only play with clans yet, going into one with possibly 5 others not knowing each blam that .

It takes communication, tactics, and patience which you can't find any on match making.

1 OdpowiedźFrom my point of view I am flat out against it. My reason being that at the core development process in which the mechanics of the raid are being created those mechanics will be conceptualized with the thought in mind that a fire team of 6 without mic's needs to have some chance of overcoming. I realize fire team chat is present but as we've all seen in the crucible given the option, maybe 30% use it. My point being, I would really like for the raids to be complex and challenging and I think even just the thought of matchmaking in the back of the developers heads could lead to watered down mechanics even with harder difficulties in mind.

I just want an option so if me and four of my friends wanna do a raid we don't have to play with a random who wont talk out try to communicate. Think about how painful the strike playlist is.....
