I joined a checkpoint after someone messaged me asking for help with Ir Yût, we tackled it five man and it went great. There was one particular member of the fireteam who was incredibly annoying and kept gloating that they had everything (including a rainbow shader that changes colour whilst equipped). He was quite obnoxious and ignorant to the fact that we all knew what we were doing during the raid. As we cleared up the mobs and waited the drops he continued to say that he's got 3 32s with max weapons and a million Gjallahorns, all the best exotic gear, etc etc. everyone was getting pretty grinded down by his chat and people began to simply interject just to cut him off. The rewards drop and this guy gets the only exotic, of course, a gjallahorn. Everybody went a bit silent as he shouted about having too many gjallahorns and that he had no use for it. It was a bit of a kick in the nuts to have such an arrogant player be rewarded such a coveted item. I'm accepting of the RNG system and so I'm not disputing that the gjallahorn shouldn't have gone to him, but my god it does suck when horrible players bring a group down and still reap more benefits. I suppose this was a rant, but I wanted to get that off my chest. Luckily I picked up a gorgon checkpoint later and got my first Thunderlord! So maybe there is an RNGesus who looks down on us after all.
