:p. That's what I compare the hive gods to.
Example. The hive have many gods. Like the Greeks. Crota Is like the god of war. The son of the king of the gods. But nope they just compare him to Jesus because they think the hive only have one god.
This is comparing the hive gods to the greek.
Orxy is the king of the gods. So orxy = zeus
Crota is the god of war. Crota = Ares
I'm just using greek an example.

12 OdpowiedziMy Wife is Greek and yells at me in Greek when I piss her off. Our pets are named after Greek Gods/Goddesses. Most people don't know that the traditional Greek pronunciation of "Hercules" is actually pronounced "hair-cu-lees", not "her-cu-lees", similar to how "Hera" is pronounced "hair-a". In either case, we don't know enough about the Hive (Thanks, Bungie!) to assume there is/isn't more than one god or that Oryx is the only one they refer to as a god.

I am thinking they are more like the Titans.

2 OdpowiedziMy GT is in Greek Mythology... In Greek mythology, Astraeus /əˈstriːəs/ (Greek: Ἀστραῖος) was an astrological deity and the Titan-god of the dusk. Some also associate him with the winds, as he is the father of the four Anemoi/wind deities. In Hesiod's Theogony and in the Bibliotheca, Astraeus is a second-generation Titan, descended from Crius and Eurybia.[1] However, Hyginus wrote that he was descended directly from Tartarus and Gaia, and referred to him as one of the Gigantes. Appropriately, as god of the dusk, Astraeus married Eos, goddess of the dawn. Together as nightfall and daybreak they produced many children who are associated with what occurs in the sky during twilight.

Care to enlighten us on another God?

There are multiple mentions of a hive Pantheon of gods. It's generally assumed they have many, and that Crota, while powerful, is one of their lesser gods. The hive has their own hierarchy, and I don't quite know how it stacks up. Norse mythology might actually be a better analogy. I can't help thinking that in defeating Crota, we've destroyed Hermodir, a son of Odin (who would be oryx). This would go with him being a lesser member of the pantheon. I doubt we've seen the equivalent of Thor yet, and oryx sounds orders of magnitude more powerful.

3 OdpowiedziProbably oryx is like kronos and crota is Zeus

I know my Greek mythology, just sayin'. Maybe the reason nobody compares them to Greek gods is because it doesn't make sense to.
