Unfortunately, This Game is Over.
While Destiny has expanded over two of the most populated genres of Video Games (Competitive FPS and FPSRPG), this game is over. With Battlefield Hardline coming onto the scene this week, it brought with it the first well-balanced platform for competitive FPS since the Xbox 360.
And if that isn't enough to completely empty out the Crucible side of Destiny (as if the bullshit patches haven't already ruined it for us), Borderlands is coming out for the next generation platforms next week. And that, as Bungie would put it, would be the final NITC. The amount of players that will be going to a true "Loot and Shoot" game will empty out the rest of Destiny's player base.
Sorry Bungie, but maybe if you had put out a game you had actually advertised, as well as a game that lived up to thee hype, maybe you guys wouldn't have been brushed to the side like you have been.
Regardless, Thanks for the hours of fun Destiny, I might be back if you do something exceptional with House of Wolves, but until then, Goodbye Guardians.

4 OdpowiedziI though CoD, The Pre-Sequel, DA:I, Evolve and a bunch of other games already killed Destiny? Borderlands is a cancer on gaming as far as I'm concerned. Since we're going to throw our opinions around here like they hold weight.

This post comes out every other month. Hardline is a reskin of BF4, should have been an expansion. Borderlands will take some initially, but those ppl will flip games parallel to content cycles. If Bungie delivers even a little bit with HoW snd teases some potential people will come back in droves. The ip has a ton of potential it just needs more substance. That being said the game still has a substantial following despite its flaws.

You either enjoy the game or you don't. Simple as that. This so called "lack of content" hasn't effected me yet. I still play almost everyday and while I will pull away when new games come (Batman Arkham Knight) I will at least be on heavily during reset and for bounties. How many games have a wealth of content end game? You may get hours of time playing stories but afterwards its back in the box(theoretically speaking, most people DL). I love the game for what it is, its not perfect but its fun as shit.

Yes it is like destiny with the fps genre but it doesn't have RPG elements it's just shoot to kill it's only PvP, not everyone has to like one genre. Same with Evovle, people were saying it will kill Destiny and look Evolve got the same Dissapointment as Destiny. My rant is over.

Honestly battlefield hardline is fun but I wouldn't stop playing destiny for it, I definitely like it better than past battlefields since heists and the car one are great quick game modes. Borderlands I wasn't planning on buying bit since om selling my 360 I may buy it for the ps4 but I could just play it on PC if I wanted too and have more fun with it there. I feel like more people would buy the handsome collection if it was borderlands 1&2 instead. Pre-sequel had a good story but with the way they handled farming in it dissapointed me along with how randy treated its fans that were upset about it.
