4 OdpowiedziI would have to say it's because (many) Christians do a poor job of emulating the life, teachings and way of Christ. Normal, everyday, run of the mill Christians just want to live their life and be happy. However, the ones that call attention to the religion as a whole typically do so in a way that paints it in a negative light. They say or do something that leaves a poor taste in our societies mouth, think the Westboro Baptist Church. The same is true for Islam. I've met Muslims that are EXACTLY like (normal) Christians, save for who they pray to... Which is actually still the same being, as all Allah means is "God." The reality is that historically, and currently, religion (as a whole, not one over another) weights down society like an albatross around our collective neck. It is a distraction from real problems that exist in the world, and does not offer any real or viable (or measurable) benefit to these problems. I don't hate Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus or anyone else that believes in a God, gods or otherwise. I think one benefit to religion is that it adds a great deal of flavor to its corresponding cultures and locales. What I do hate is bigotry, closed-mindedness, ethnocentrism and the notion that we've got "life" all figured out due to an ancient text with little to no bearing on the modern world.

4 OdpowiedziBecause people fear what they don't understand and will ways try and prove God doesn't exist and that the bible is false because it shines a light on their sin ( people don't like to be told they are doing something wrong ) and it shows them they are in need of a savior ( people like to think they are in charge and can save themselves ) all in all .... Sin is fun for them and being good is boring for them.

Made a thread about this recently as well. Good to see some fellow Christians rising up with me :)

2 OdpowiedziThe dark ages is their fault (Thanks for that)

Personally I find region outdated and not necessary. However I feel everyone it entitled to their own beliefs and opinions. I just dislike it when Christians tell me that god is real rather than they believe him to be real. I believe him to be false but I can't prove it so I'm not gonna tell you its a fact because its not. I hate no religion or race that would be ridiculous.

Because most of them come from christian families and are angsty teenagers with daddy issues and try to act rebellious to hide insecurities to a world much bigger than they are.

Edytowany przez użytkownika savage coco: 4/30/2015 11:42:37 PMEverybody? I could care less what anyone believes in. What matters to me is the person characteristic & personality. As long as they're not trying to shove their beliefs down my throat and they respect me that's all I care about.
-
Because we have religious politicians that can't see facts anymore.
-
Because they shove their religion down other peoples throats
-
because christians criticize non-chrisitians. its an ongoing thing.
-
Cuz if there wasn't any religion Humanity would've been centuries ahead in science and technology. Christianity is the biggest problem.
-
Jesus has it. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
-
I'm lazy. It's just to easy.
-
2 OdpowiedziBecause they force their illogical beliefs on others. Hating on people just because a 6000 year old book of lies tells you to is beyond stupid.
-
54 OdpowiedziBecause the world is evil and can't stand Christianity. They don't want anything to do with it. Haven't you seen throughout history how everyone rejects Christianity but is a okay for all the Big Bang Theory and all the other stupid stuff man has made up. Satan is in control of this world and wants everyone do sin like him. since the 1960s society has rebelled and rejected Christianity. Everything is getting ready for the Anti-christ
-
Some people jus don't agree. That doesn't mean put them on full blast, but still.

Now-a-days everyone wants something/someone to hate
-
Because it's the Internet and nobody can ever be wrong on the Internet

1 OdpowiedźTwo reasons. First, humans are humans and just have to be jerks to everyone. Second, Christianity screwed up quite a few times oppressing people, taking their money, forcing them to live a certain way, ect.

2 OdpowiedziWhy does everybody criticize Islam?
-
It's something for people to do

IDK. Might be the way of thinking that everyone in the world should adhere to their values. Or it could be the faith cherry picking. Or it could be the hypocrisy. "You can't get an abortion because my book says it's wrong" "You can't get married because my book says it's wrong." "Murder is a sin. Unless the person you're going to kill has a different faith."
-
Christians bring it upon themselves with their conduct. To be cliche, they are hypocrites. And nobody likes a hypocrite.
