Solutions to Beasting's problem are as follows: 1. Don't get close enough for shotguns to be used on you. 2. Don't get close enough for shotguns to be used on you. 3. Don't run point in your fireteam. 4. Don't be the first to clear rooms. 5. Don't be first to move around corners. Don't even move. Stand motionless and maybe shotgunners wont see you. 6. Don't back up your teammates when trying to capture points in Control. That puts you too close for shotguns to be used on you. Make it seem like you are backing up your teammates by making "pew pew" noises into your mic. 7. Hang back at your spawn point and camp the shit out of it. (Again, "pew pew" noises make it seem like you're right in the action. Besides, they are too busy fighting enemies to notice you're camping back at spawn. Occasionally add in the "WHAT?!? WHERE DID HE COME FROM?" This most definitely will bypass any doubts your teammates are having of you.) 8. Speak to a Therapist about what has been troubling you and why you must camp at spawn. 9. Listen to said Therapists' response to your so called shotgun claim. 10. His response will undoubtably be, "Don't get close enough for shotguns to be used on you." 11. Watch out for knee pad sliders. 12. You shouldn't have to watch out for sliders if you don't get close enough for shotguns to be used on you. 13. Everyone had the option to buy a Felwinters Lie 14. Why didn't you buy one? If you had, you would know the range is pretty high. Therefore, you would ALSO know not to get close enough for shotguns to be used on you. 15. This shotguns rate of fire sucks serious donkey dick so UNLESS you have the timing of a god... don't get close enough for shotguns to be used on you. 16. If you see someone with this shotgun, run away. Fast. I'm talking faster than Chuck Norris can catch you fast. Because for that brief second, you were close enough for shotguns could be used on you. 17. Give up on games like Control or Rumble. As they are now the property of Felwinters Lie holders. All the map sizes put you close enough for shotguns to be used on you. 18. Turn your agility up the whole way because it doesn't matter how much armor you have... You are still a 1 shot kill. 19. Run away with said agility. 20. It's a shotgun. They have always been 1 shot kills because you got too close and shotguns were used on you 21-30. Don't get close enough for shotguns to be used on you. 31. Watch out for blinking bastards because they almost definitely have a Felwinters Lie equipped. 32. Run the other way when you hear "whooosh." Your audio is telling you that you are too close and shotguns will be used on you. 33. All maps regardless of size have boundaries. 34. You will not escape. 35. Felwinters Lie -blam!-s and pillages. 36. So other than running away with your tail between your legs or quitting Crucible, you only have 1 option. Camp and let your teammates carry your cowardly ass to victory! Good luck guardian.

I hate saying this, as I've been a huge advocate for leaving guns alone on pretty much every point (pre-patch shotgun range, fusion rifles, suros, vex, Thorn, Hawkmoon, etc), but I've come to think this weapon does throw off the balance of the game. This, along with high-impact snipers with Last Round, are having too much of an effect on the overall experience in PVP. I checked out the stats of a guy who ran FL during a match and had a 4+ k/d...his k/d pre-FL was .8. His recent k/d sits somewhere in the 2-2.5 range. The only change has been the shotgun. But, of course, this is anecdotal. He could have just found a gun that better fits his playstyle, right? I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt, but decided to try out FL on my brother's Titan (different PSN). I ran striker and used SC to either kill people or get in close enough to use FL (his has hammer forged and shot package). I was getting k/d's or 5+ every game. I can only imagine what it would have been if I could run blink-shotty...it would have been stupid. As I said, I generally fall firmly in the "just learn a counterstrategy" camp. However, there is no counter here; running Hawkmoon and FL on my brother's Titan was just complete dominance with fairly little effort. This is not a high risk, high reward weapon. It is a low-to-medium risk, very high reward one, and it is one of the very few weapons in this game that would actually justify a nerf.

Bungie used FL to lure us into grinding IB. It will be nerfed shortly. Next IB they'll add a auto with twice the impact of the Suros just to lure us into yet another IB grind.. Then that too, will be swiftly nerfed. Bungie loves playing musical chairs with our emotions, just to keep us playing. So, let us enjoy this shotty just a little bit longer before crying "nerf"... We earned the right to do so!!

Nope . I've given it a whirl and yes it has at least same or more lethality as a buffed bronzed chasma . And its annoying to get killed with. Easily countered by just keeping a bit more distance than normal. I've hardly used thus gun and will not be using much or none at all..but a big NO to nerf. This is a pure PvP acquired weapon which is available to anyone playing PvP , and is not tied to some exclusive raid crap. If it changes the game, so be it. A pvp acquired weapon affecting pvp, how is that imbalanced when it's available to all who play pvp. Deal with it or just get one from the vendor Lord S. Anyone can get it and use in their loadout. Same guys will be moaning for a nerf if for example Hawkmoon or Vex or Hard light was suddenly available at tower vendors .

It's a symptom of a larger problem, which is rampant shotgun abuse, which is a symptom of an even larger problem: that special ammo is far too prevalent in crucible. Special weapons have OSK potential, so they should be treated like the power weapons that they are. No one should spawn with special ammo. It should have to be picked up off the map. Special ammo should also be lost after death. The game would play so much better if people used their primaries more. Anyone who disagrees with me, anyone who thinks shotguns are balanced, I tell to go play a game of clash or rumble and watch the killfeed. What weapons people gravitate towards using speaks volumes about the sandbox balance.

It's the slowest fire rate gun in the game... If anything, with shot package (which is allegedly slug rounds) it's range needs a buff... I can hit a target from twice the range of this one in the real world with slugs... A stock No Land Beyond fires off a second round faster... If you are constantly getting owned by such a weapon, it's not because it needs nerfed. It's because you are just bad at the game...
