I just wanna know what you guys think comet is gonna be just another lame dlc? Or something impacting and different? And do you think there will be a new vendor for house of wolves and all the other dlcs coming up?

1 OdpowiedźI think it's going to be the expansions that we're supposed to have already...

1 OdpowiedźComet is supposed to come with a whole lot of content, new strikes, a raid, "story" missions, and some shitty PvP maps people can bitch about so our guns get nerfed...again. All we have is speculation. I'm going to take a stab and say that either well find out the speaker is evil, or we'll get a whole new race of aliens to -blam!- up. The raid will probably revolve around some obscure demigod that has something to do with whoever our biggest threat is in the story and the strikes will add veiled lore to the overall game and quite a bit more confusion. I'll be excited if it actually adds some depth to the game or answers some of our questions. I've stuck up for Destiny and it's shortcomings, but Comet is where that'll stop if nothing is even turned in the right direction or it looks like things are getting worse.

What destiny was supposed to be. Basically I believe that comet is the other half or 3/4 of the game that got cut by Bungie/Activision to make more money on the game. I believe that its not going to add some side story or any of the bull crap we have gotten from TDB, but that it may fill/add to the actual story. I've seen some of the stuff in the pre-alpha/alpha stages, and there were planets cut, such as Jupiter and Mercury. Comet may add these back but idk that's just my guess.

2 OdpowiedziI hear people saying the comet is going to be free; saying it's been confirmed free without citing any sources. I call BS. There is no doubt going to be a good amount of material dropping with the comet, some say equal to the content of the original release. Do you guys actually think Activision would let a profitable opportunity slip through the cracks like that? This content obviously cost money to produce, and can obviously be capitalized on. "But they already charged us for the DLC drops, and we deserve free content!" I agree, but come on. More than half of the posts I stumble across on this forum are negative: - "This game lacks content." - "We're still playing the beta." - "I feel ripped off." - "This game is not what we were lead to believe." The general belief is that content was cut for release to be later introduced as DLC and the comets. Extensive data mining has shown that there is a ton of content in the game that has not been unlocked. All profitable material. Open a door, introduce a character or two and boom, DLC. I enjoy Destiny. I still log on every Tuesday (sometimes Wednesday) and ever since I stopped playing everyday it has gotten to be entertaining again. I'm looking forward to the comet, rumored to drop around September, but I will not get my hopes up about it being free - and neither should you. Remember, Bungie is not to blame. They are simply the hands of Activision, told what to do and how to do it. This is just my take on the subject - my opinion. A fun game, but not an everyday game for me anymore. Will I pay for the comet? If it's less than $30, yeah I'll probably get it. Five hundred hours of playtime is worth it to me. Until then, I'm not going to give up. There is a lot of potential in this franchise so I'll tag along until they figure things out.

Other half of destiny that has the story. It has possible third subclasses

I think it will be a significant expansion to the base game, but cost more than a DLC pack would. I base this speculation on the fact that- A) Companies typically work on the DLC concurrently with the main game. They have to, in order to release if a few months after the main game comes out. This is coming out a year later. It may be content that they "cut" in the sense that the game became too large to release on time with it, or were ideas they shelved till later, or perhaps based on feedback about what we wanted/hated. Either way, a year is too long for DLC, and too short for a major release like "Destiny 2", unless they started work on Comet a year or so ago. Then it could be a "Destiny 2". B) It's going to cost more. I said that before, but Bungie can't feed their kids and work for free on something for a year , just to give it away. This won't happen. C) I imagine some of the things people heard via leaks and rumors that were going to be in the "base" game might be released with this expansion. "The City" aka the walled portal in the tower, might be opened. Maybe some more destinations on new planets, but I expect the basic format of the game won't change too much. They have already invested a good deal on resources (like the voice actor's work for the "citizens", credited in the game but not used) and this would be a way to go back and use those resources that they cut during development. Like I said, during internal testing, they may have shelved parts of the game that couldn't be released because they needed more work. Many will call that "cut content" but sometimes alpha testing shows a well meant game design feature sucks when tested and they abandon it. That's part of the process. Stuff gets cut because it sucks. No Activision conspiracy, just professional internal game testers going "meh" to something before the game is shipped. However, they might be working to retool some of the content they worked on in new ways. Anyway, I'm sure we won't have long to wait to find out.

Edytowany przez użytkownika DecrepitDragon: 2/26/2015 3:45:04 AMI wonder if it's gonna be the immediate and complete removal of every gamertag or profile that has spewed bile on these forums. Seems to me that would improve the game a helluva lot more than any dlc or fixes. ;)

2 Odpowiedzihouse of wolves is going to be more of the same lame ass DLC like the dark below. it's too late for them to add in a bunch of shit now. Comet, I am sure, was going to be more lame ass stuff with only a new raid to do, just like the base game and DLC. However, because of the major backlash destiny has gotten (since it deserves it), Bungie MAY actually include a story to the game, and actual content besides a single raid. Of course I am inclined to believe it will be more of the same, but only time will tell.

6 OdpowiedziA comet is an icy small Solar System body that, when passing close to the Sun, heats up and begins to outgas, displaying a visible atmosphere or coma, and sometimes also a tail. These phenomena are due to the effects of solar radiation and the solar wind upon the nucleus of the comet. Comet nuclei range from a few hundred metres to tens of kilometres across and are composed of loose collections of ice, dust, and small rocky particles. The coma and tail are much larger and, if sufficiently bright, may be seen from the Earth without the aid of a telescope. Comets have been observed and recorded since ancient times by many cultures. Comets have a wide range of orbital periods, ranging from several years to several millions of years. Short-period comets originate in the Kuiper belt or its associated scattered disc, which lie beyond the orbit of Neptune. Longer-period comets are thought to originate in the Oort cloud, a spherical cloud of icy bodies extending from outside the Kuiper Belt to halfway to the next nearest star. Long-period comets are directed towards the Sun from the Oort cloud by gravitational perturbations caused by passing stars and the galactic tide. Hyperbolic comets may pass once through the inner Solar System before being flung out to interstellar space along hyperbolic trajectories. Comets are distinguished from asteroids by the presence of an extended, gravitationally unbound atmosphere surrounding their central nucleus. This atmosphere has parts termed the coma (the central atmosphere immediately surrounding the nucleus) and the tail (a typically linear section consisting of dust or gas blown out from the coma by the Sun's light pressure or outstreaming solar wind plasma). However, extinct comets that have passed close to the Sun many times have lost nearly all of their volatile ices and dust and may come to resemble small asteroids.[1] Asteroids are thought to have a different origin from comets, having formed inside the orbit of Jupiter rather than in the outer Solar System.[2][3] The discovery of main-belt comets and active centaurs has blurred the distinction between asteroids and comets. As of November 2014 there are 5,253 known comets,[4] a number which is steadily increasing. However, this represents only a tiny fraction of the total potential comet population, as the reservoir of comet-like bodies in the outer Solar System (in the Oort cloud) is estimated to be one trillion.[5][6] Roughly one comet per year is visible to the naked eye, though many of these are faint and unspectacular.[7] Particularly bright examples are called "Great Comets". Comets have been visited by unmanned probes such as the European Space Agency's Rosetta, which became the first ever to land a robotic spacecraft on a comet,[8] and NASA's Deep Impact, which blasted a crater on Comet Tempel 1 to study its interior
