I just wanna say that's cool how you've maintained an all female group and I would like to say that my clan (Dark within us) is rapidly growing mostly because of raids and that's good

1 OdpowiedźI was so offended! I'm sorry you were rejected but I'm glad I wasn't alone. I joined Girls of Destiny but they are mostly new-gen and I'm ps3 so I thought maybe another group might add to my gameplay. The only reason I like to game with girls because it's different! I play with boys all the time.

1 OdpowiedźGlad you all have a "safe" place, but could have been done with more class, Guardians For Safe Gaming maybe? Its a shame in this day in age to teach children to segregate the sexes/races/cultures etc. And just as a rose by any other name is still a rose, so is sexism, racism, segregation, discrimination etc. Bad people can be found in all sexes, races, religions, and cultures worldwide. A safe, chill group that has no other creed but be good to one another would gain my respect much easier. Didnt care for dads of destiny myself, i was greeted by assholes, poor sportsmanship, and judgement when i looked into them. The clan im in now is full of nice peolple, some of whom i can be proud to say have become my friends in real life, right there is an example of how a game can bring people together, people of different races, sexes, and creeds. We have men, women, teens, healthy, ill, all races, different religions... these things do not define us as individuals or as a group, they are all part of the human condition. A good clan in a game is based on our common ground, the game. Working as a team, helping, teaching, learning as a group to triumph over "the darkness". Segregation was never good for society, nor will it be. Sadly it seems this post is mostly gender based as was dads of destiny (I am a dad and husband myself). I wish bungie supported higher moral ground in general as apposed to "segregate for happiness."

5 OdpowiedziSo from what I've seen and heard is SafeGamers and Dames of Destiny's atmosphere is almost the exact same. A fun, relaxing atmosphere. So do tell why Dames of Destiny got the spotlight here over SafeGamers?
hint: the most obvious answer is the correct answer
2 OdpowiedziI think it's awesome, gaming has come a long way. For there to be entire clans of female gamers, it shows how far society has come.

I support your justified actions and salute you. Freespeech has been corrupted by an orgy of hate-mongers. You all at Bungie have done a superb job, and do not deserve the level of hate directed to you. So much for basic politeness and courtesy these days. Let the hammer of justice fall on those who seek to hurt others with their words.

12 OdpowiedziPretty split on this one. It's sending two conflicting messages when put beside the founder's response to this article. On one hand, you've got a group that says "no boys allowed". That's fine. It's nice to get away from the opposite sex and just do whatever the hell it is you do when you're not around them. I gives everyone in the group a common trait, and if that's the trait they want to group together on, OK. It's no different that grouping together based on any other shared trait. But then you've also got this group talking about being a "safe space". This sort of thing is hardly unique. Be an asshole in any group and you're asking for the boot. It's expected. Using it as a... well I guess I'd say "selling point" while combining it with the message of "no boys allowed" seems to aim a certain level of accusation at boys. This is a "safe space" from you, and the founder's response feels like back-pedaling in the wake of what I imagine is the most active post count these community pieces have ever seen. I think you need to come clean and sell yourself as one or the other. Are you a group for girls only which lets its members share in their femininity, or are you a "safe space" for people that aren't dicks, in which case why keep out men? An even better idea would be total reorganization. A parent group that everyone is a member of that acts a "safe space"; accepting anyone and everyone (outside of assholes, obviously). You then create subgroups within that group that are based around particular shared traits; gender, career, hobbies, and the like. This would send a message that it's good people first and what kind of people second, as opposed to the other way around as you have it now. In fact a move like this would be a very good push for the community as a whole and would leave no one divided.

8 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika TheAegisofDeath: 2/27/2015 2:36:05 PMI wish people could just play together without the hassle of genders. I have no problem playing with either, I don't see why others do. Edit: if you would like to add me I play on 360 and the xbone I'm willing to play with anyone GT is the same as my name

6 Odpowiedzi*rubs face* Dammit...... Why do you and all pretend to be a white night when things like this appear? Why do you always act like crazy lunatics or scream at each other for dominance when a female joins a party but when a while clan shows you suddenly change? I am a guy myself and literally rejected most other players because they were the ones who raid all of the time, scream at each other with "team work", and always get pissed at each other. I went out of my way to partially experiment and see what it is like to play with a few or all females added to a fire team. Its awesome, I love the new experience and god finally new topics you can talk about. There is team work and I don't usually hear screeching in my ear every ten seconds if someone dies etc. Now it was also not as fun because I came across a group of at first fine women but then discovered in a very short time that they were just the complaining type who didn't know much about gaming itself. The knowledge part didn't aggravate me it was the fact they acted as if they knew what was going on and showing off to me and other people. Back to the main topic of being a "white knight". There are true people who actually DO NOT CARE about gender and don't go back flipping around because they finally get to chat with a girl. I personally get a fresh start coming back to destiny. I lost most of my friends and barely know anyone anymore. I came back and personally made it a NEED to friend more if a female based group. No I do not do this to surround myself with women, to get popularity, etc. I do this so I can finally have a fun playable experience AND finally talk about something different. Its a whole new environment. It is and its hard not to be grouped with the stereotypical guys who only want to friend a girl for A B C. It's also hard to actually find a serious and actual female due to the problem of guys pretending to be girls, they friend actual women and I know it annoys you, I know it does because it annoys any type of guy. But for now I stay and search more to have my group grow and so I can have my new experiences. It's amazing what you can do if you are friendly and not always thinking about, "Oh I need to be better," or "god I wonder what she looks like," or "I wonder if she likes me." If you actually read all of this and understood I congratulate you. Also I'm sorry for making the post so long, I wanted to rant :3. Anyways have a good time out there guardians, and if you ever need anything PM me, I'm still in search to make a bigger group and change things up. Love the idea for dames, amazing. (Same with DoD). But see you in the wild. Neon~

2 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika HG x SkyHigh: 2/25/2015 7:50:29 PMI've been online gaming since the first COD came out, I've been in many clans, but DoD is by far the most easy going clan I've ever been in. With the next gen console switches it was hard to get a group of my gamingbuds together, they either didn't have the game or they were on another console. Outside gaming I have more male friends than females, becuz I usually don't get along with women. When I joined DoD I was happy to see a bunch of chicks playing together and actually getting the -blam!- along. That alone was reason enough to stay where I was. Did I join becuz I wanted to burn my bra and ban penises out of my life ? No. I joined becuz I wanted to experience what a bunch of women could do when they worked together. We don't dance around a cauldron of boytears naked celebrating our boobs. (Only every other weekend). People like BelleBunny give your (future) daughters a safe environment to play in. Or your girlfriends or wifes, give her a controller and send her to DoD and you'll want to marry the shit out of her when you see her actually enjoying the game and getting better at it. I'll probably always be a lone wolf, but it's nice to know that there's always a place in this community I can rely on, I'll never be alone. Hands down for BelleBunny & Co for setting this up, keep doing what you're doing, same goes for Dads of Destiny and SafeGamers! *fistbump*

Sounds like aGGro tumblrina haven to me. No thanks. You girls can have it, I just won't team with you. I get annoyed enough listening to college students drone on and on about whatever Jezzebel, Huff post, and other Fox News equivalents of the Left have to say, I'd rather not listen while I'm playing my video games.

50 OdpowiedziEdytowany przez użytkownika mysticblue2: 2/27/2015 6:07:17 PMI'm a guy and I don't see why anyone should have a problem with girls getting to form a clan of their own. It seems like a good idea, and it if helps them to feel safe and enjoy the game more, then I say why not? People (I.E. the angry dudes on here) need to chillax and understand that not everything is a gender issue aimed at insulting you personally. The phrase "providing a safe place for girls" (which is said a lot in the article above) is bringing attention to the fact that sometimes (some) guys (Edit: and some girls) can be disrespectful towards girl gamers. That they don't treat women with the respect that they deserve . They (the Dames) are not insinuating that all guys do this, but that unfortunately some do and some can be real creeps. Therefore, if your a guy who treats girls with respect, that statement is not saying that you personally make women feel unsafe. It's not that hard to understand.
