Exotics are pointless.
What's the point in using exotic armor. If it's good bungie will just nerf it. Just like one eyed mask was nerfed, now they are nerfing everything. Welp. Borderlands 3 can't come soon enough cause Im getting really sick of this trash game. GG bungie GG Keep recycling everything then nerfing it. This game is just a worse version of D1. What a joke this company is now. We all busted our humps played through the terrible drop rates and farmed for gear to be powerful and they just take it away. This game is trash. All the enemies have been recycled like 5,000 times. What a joke.

I'm not D1 veteran, but during those 700 hours I spent in the game, I saw quite a smol number of exotics that were used regularly and effectively. Getting many of those I kinda tend to agree - most of them don't even justify an exotic status at all and feels like they were added for quantity. Pain/Gain equation is broken and biased towards pain side.

Your telling me it's fair that a titan gets a way faster health regen (warlock department) tracker that lasts way too long, longer then fooetrace (hunters schtick) more damage (again hunters department) on top of a sheild. All on a class that's meant to be a tank. Though one can argue that putting stars for the def aspect does literally nothing

Armor doesn't matter, weapons don't matter, perks don't matter.... The only truly useful thing is a masterworked weapon so you can generate orbs so you can use your Super. Edit: Prior to reading last week's TWAB, I was getting back into D2. I finished all the IB bounties on my hunter and was going to slog through it with my Titan. Nope... I guess it's back to Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel until B3 drops. -sigh-

11 RepliesThe amount they recycle enemies is egregious though, and this issue is not talked about nearly enough. This is a AAA franchise that costs 100’s of dollars just for basic features, Yet they can’t be bothered to ever make new/unique enemy models, despite being in business and selling pseudo-content at full price for years. They recycle the exact same enemies, mechanics and locations 1000’s of times, over and over, and then they have the nerve to nickel and dime customers, as if the content they make is extraordinary and out of this world. It is literally the same, over and over, copy/pasting everything, even weapons, armor, ships, ghost shells, and sparrows. They have not made a single original thing in Destiny 2. The game is a half-assed Minimum Viable Product. It is a mini-store masquerading as a game. Nothing more.

It was the last exotic I got for the titan, and I got it two weeks before it was nerfed. You have to accept this is the janky ass rewards system we have for Destiny if you want to play it. The trick is no one has to play it. That’s why we get less than 5% of people who have accounts playing on a daily basis. That part is up to “you”.

5 RepliesI feel like people who are crying don’t know what busting your ass or working hard is. People keep saying I busted my ass for that exotic. I didn’t lord of wolves and Orpheus Riggs are random drops so no I just played the game and I got them. Sleeper was not a hard quest and whisper is not a hard quest.

2 RepliesOEM was nerfed because it frankly was the best exotic armor piece in the game for any PvP activity, and almost any PvE as well. If you played it well, you were functionally always doing increased damage to targets, and almost always had full health, and overshield, and tracking effect on the target...tell me one other exotic armor piece that does all of those things at once. Face it, it was way over-engineered, and it became the only logical choice for almost any activity. When that happens, it's a good sign you made a design mistake.

3 RepliesI feel like if they are going to make all the exotics mediocre then they need to substantially up the drop rate and there shouldn't be quests any harder than the Thunderlord quest was. Bungie can't have it both ways. You can't make extremely hard content AND have insanely low drop rates. People just wont play.

In Destiny 2 it's "Remain Mediocre" Exotics are no better than legendaries and supers are lackluster In Destiny 3 it'll be "You're still playing this? Why?" The gun you start with will be the most powerful weapon you'll wield

Honesty the one exotic feature is antiquated nonsense. Root cause of Bungie's boring game is the futility of so many great exotics that just collect dust. They need to unlock exotics... enough is enough
