Stasis still needs help after the reworks in PvE

Stasis is still outclassed by Strand because strand has better debuffs/buffs and better aspects. Sever > Slow Suspend > Freeze Woven Mail > Frost Armor On top of this, Strand has means for unraveling and threadlings across all 3 classes with higher uptimes on all Strand abilities. Stasis desperately needs the aspects to be reworked because some of them are very underwhelming. For example, Winter’s Shroud (still), Cryoclasm (still), Diamond Lances, and Frostpulse. These aren’t all of the underwhelming ones, but overall, the aspects for stasis need to be changed so there are better uptimes on debuffs for PvE. My suggestion would be, at a minimum, to replace 1 underwhelming aspect across each class with better ones, and deprecate the old ones to fragments. Example Fragments: A.) “Defeating enemies that are slowed/frozen or using stasis weapons has a chance to create a diamond lance” B.) “Using your class ability causes slow to nearby enemies and grants frost armor” C.) “Sliding at stasis crystals or frozen combatants causes them to shatter” (combatants wording to not abuse in PvP) Edit: Also why only 1 super? Same with Strand?

  • Most people will pretend that stasis is good and then never use it lol. They think that Shadebinder is a great PvE class but forget that the super is the worst for PvE in the game and you could outright kill a pack of enemies with any other subclass or even just a gun in half (or less) of the time it takes just to freeze them. Bleak watcher is an aspect people put on a pedestal but the thing takes like 2-3 seconds just to freeze one dude. It’s really not very good. Just use a vortex grenade and/or a decent gun and get it over with lol. The element needs to be reworked from the ground up and freeze honestly needs to go. Suspend does it better, and don’t get me wrong they shouldn’t need suspend at all. Just let strand keep that because freeze is what holds stasis back. Crystals encasing enemies can still happen but imo they should be focusing on crystals (with nothing else being able to outright freeze), pure shatters, and a DOT to replace or bolster slow. Frost armor also should explode upon explosion via expiration or it being broken with the AOE and damage increasing based on the number of frost armor stack held. They should forego the freeze by causing physical damage and building stacks of “encrusted” that build up to a large shatter (similar to scorch building to an ignition), and enemies who die will automatically shatter with the damage relative to the amount of encrusted stacks they had. An example: bleakest archer would deal straight up damage rather than slowing and freezing, but in addition to pure damage it will build those encrusted stack, indicated by stasis buildup on their bodies, which build into that shatter. In terms of the DOT, think like dusk field being a whirlwind that also slows with that stasis shrapnel flying around.

        While I agree Stasis needs more Love, Please don't use the Strand ability uptime as an example, it'll give them the impression that it may need to be looked at and brought down. Strand is fun because of the Chaos it causes when the abilities are active, especially when everyone in the PvE lobby are running it together. Stasis is fun now with the current artifact, but once it's gone, I won't really use it that much anymore.
