Hunters win Guardian Games Tiebreaker
For the first time ever in Guardian Games history, we've encountered a three-way gold medal tie with Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks all winning seven days each.
But there can only be one winner and--with the tiebreaker--Hunters are your 2024 Guardian Games champions!
Guardian Games has built in tiebreakers to determine a winner in case of a tie. In the case that all classes are tied in terms of daily winners, we then calculate each class's total rank by assigning a point value to each placement (gold, silver, bronze) and tallying the total.
With Hunters earning 11 silver daily medals to Warlocks' 10 silver daily medals, Hunters have earned the highest total rank and have won Guardian Games 2024. Congratulations, Hunters!

As a titan main, it is way more insulting that you did not let hunters blow us out. Who cares if they won every single day? When i saw another class win one of the days i knew it was rigged. Why do you guys act like losers and lie for no reason

Week 3: Warlocks win 7 days straight. Bungie: "Hey Guardians, it was a 3-way tie!" Apparently, insulting the intelligence of your paying customers is considered acceptable behavior these days in game development. And then theres the bugs that occurred, heres just a few..... -Broken lobby balancing -Class based matchmaking had to be disabled -Popup banners showing the wrong winner -Wrong color fireworks going off at tower -Streamers at tower not going off at all -Wrong colors on class items (gold,silver,etc) -Half the vanguard medals did not work in GG playlist activities (because they were copy pasted from the Vanguard OPS ones in the game) -Top 10% NF score required you to figure out which of the 3 daily rotating nightfalls was possible to get the highest score, since they were all unbalanced, then make sure you logged on for that particular day that it was available. Which leads me to the real kicker.....the entire event was designed to get you to purchase a $25 bundle from Eververse in order to get a Skimmer that doesnt expire. The FOMO quest to upgrade your skimmer so that it doesnt expire requires you to win 3 focus events. Since Hunters were winning all the Focus events, of course everyone was hopping on their Hunters for the winners packages. That leads to tons of Hunters turning in an entire case full of medallions every 6 hours, so it was a domino effect. And that was why Bungie had to manipulate the other classes medals at the weekly reset. So TLDR, a FOMO quest designed to push you towards Eververse ruined the entire event. The sad thing is....I almost deleted this comment while writing it out of fear that Bungie would ban my account for criticizing the event. The fact that my fear of that exists kinda says something about the state of the relationship between the studio & the community doesnt it? I'm holding out hope that the best days for Destiny are still to come, but with all the writing on the wall...I fear that The Final Shape really is the end. I hope I'm wrong. Regarding Guardian Games, you tried for 5 years Bungie. Just get rid of it, & bring back SRL for the spring event. Thanks for coming to my TED talk lol

literally no one credible cares; you previously said that there are 7 million more hunters than the other classes, yet every time another class wins, or the Hunters "barely" squeak out a "win" ... this leads me to the fact that ya"ll are full of -blam!- and can't be trusted about anything, literally ... This whole system makes no sense tbh. They rig it everytime so its not hunter every year lmao. If they made something about winrate in the pvp class vs class it would really be a fair competition. But just the number of medals ? Ofc its always goinf to be the most played class XD
