Im actually enjoying the ranged battles. Feels like there's more strategy. Covering angles, getting off a good flank etc.
There's also way less ape rushes which is awesome.
Just my thoughts. But Im loving it.

I wouldn’t really say we are in a range meta, it is definitely longer range than the smg meta though. Autos are pretty fun to use but when you start playing against people who run together and team shot, they become unfun to play against. Overall, i thibk most weapon types are pretty good right now, so I can’t really complain.
-
I don't mind ranged weapons being good, I mind skill-less ARs being able to just out TTK other weapon classes in its range with ease ARs need a massive nerf, mainly 450s and 600s, 720s and 360s are perfectly fine imo
-
There’s a lot of mid engagements in my matches. Once the green is earned there’s plenty of close up engagements too. It’s not bad IMO. Supers regen needs tweaking but I like the lack of absurd ability and special spam in matches.
-
I like having viable options besides sniper and shotgun. I play tactically, so I hit both sides of the fence pretty well, but I prefer to stay in ranged a bit more. If I don't have to go get in people's faces I won't.
-
I am mostly liking how things are shaking out beyond a few outliers. Such as but not limited to: •Forerunner needs to go to 6 rounds. •Bubble & well in dominion or countdown. •450 ARs.

The autos (besides high impact) need a slight range or recoil nerf. Since health was buffed for everyone, bows need to be rebuffed but give a handling nerf to your other equipped special or primary. Hand cannons and high impact frame autos, pulses, and scouts need a precision damage boost to make up for how slow they feel when compared to the other frames in their archetype These have been my biggest gripes with the current sandbox and now I'm pretty much stuck with a pyrogale titan with Monte Carlo since my other builds are either lacking or now have useless weapons for this sandbox. Any ideas for fun but effective builds on any class for pvp will be greatly appreciated lol

I’ve definitely enjoyed the reduction in ape + slide + shotgun/fusion + melee. That playstyle was too dominant for too long. You can still do it, but you actually have to pick your moments now, rather than use it as default. The short, medium and long range all feel good to me. You can still be aggressive, up close, with sidearms and smgs (I’ve also had fun with The Last Word). Still some tuning to be done, of course, but I’m liking the changes. The risk/reward with special weapons feels more meaningful now. Everything feels a little bit more tactical, which is my preference. -
To be honest nothing changed for me. I can use nearly the same Loadout I used before. The only thing that changed is how I switch to a pulse riföe in trials when sniper is empty. 😂👍

I wasn't a fan of it when we had the same issues we've got now.... back when Hardlight was in amongst the Auto Meta. I'm still not a fan of it. Keeping it simple. Those that didn't like the HC shotty Meta more often than not weren't the aggressive playstyle type of people. But the balance has shifted into their favour of sitting in one spot an spraying the instant a peak is made. What we have now doesn't encourage pushing forward. It encourages lazy play. I'm gonna go a step further an add in peak shooting goes out the window with this sort of Meta. I can accept that what we have now puts me at quite a disadvantage but it still opens opportunities. 3 people holding a Lane leaves them wide open to a witherhoard or if you're really lucky......a Headpop from cloudstrike taking out all 3.

Yes.No…..maybe….what was the question again?

Wasn't trials 51% Shotgun usage just between Conditional and Chaperone. I'm seeing more shotguns than before. They got passive buffs from other specials being nerfed and through higher accuracy requirements to take down a sliding/blinking/crouching shotgunner... I can only assume this thread was made to steer the conversation away from an incoming shotgun adjustment. XD
-
It's basically teams standing side by side and spraying auto rifles as soon as someone peeks. At least that's how it is in trials. Not much strategy to be honest and shotgun ammo is still available quite often. It was much better in checkmate with less special
-
No. don’t dislike it, your load out should fit the map... and not meta of the same thing everywhere ( this my point only )
-
Primary gunfights have always been my favorite part of Destiny
-
The weird thing about all the team shotting is that after people start getting used to playing like this they don't necessarily bunch up quite as much in 6s. Primaries are just very different than special weapons. Who'd have thunk?
-
oh yeah. the walls of overshield titans are real fun to deal with.
-
If only they redid how the radar works cuz so many ppl still lame camp and radar watch which makes destiny such an easy PvP shooter Also add a PvP only subclass And a few new modes
-
Always enjoyed it even before it was a thing. Running around with Jade rabbit gets you so much hate mail from shotty apes lol
-
It’s definitely made it easier on us more lower to mid players but it’s made pvp slower and a bit boring IMO
-
I've always enjoyed primary fights over one shot special battles. Unfortunately when specials aren't available everybody huddles up and plays super slow which makes the games boring. I personally think that before and after the PvP changes are equally good/bad just in different ways. Think if they could squash the overly hand-holdy gameplay without bringing back rampant special ammo that would be the ideal state, but I don't know how realistic that would be to accomplish.
-
I do I don’t use scouts and pulses tho- still using my favorite hand cannons and loving it
-
I luv it. I think it's the best it's ever been. Whatever they're doing, I think they should do moar of it.
-
I'm enjoying it much more now.
-
U would have loved year 1. Mida spam and uriels back up. There was a reason that got changed and it because it got very boring very fast.
-
Yep. It’s a good balance now.
