Datto's right. Been thinking the same thing. Just get rid of the rotators or make it faster (like a lot).
Edit: This post repeating what Datto said in his video was meant to spark conversation and to put it somewhere other than youtube because I think the chances of Bungie seeing and considering this is higher (altough probably still low) on the forums.
And tbf I can understand the argument that playerbase would be spread to thin to make everything farmable all of the time but they could at least make multiple raids /dungeons farmable per cycle so that the time something comes back into rotation is shorter than 6 weeks. (And master versions of those should be available all of the time because why tf not xD)
Or like some of you suggested rethink the rotation system to something else like double rewards or something like that.
This post was made to take the momentum of the video and put it here. And it did. Thx to everyone replying. Even if it was just a simple "No datto's not right". It still created some traction on this post so thx for that. Hopefully something will be changed about the rotator in the future.

Stop letting others think for you, especially idiots.
-
-blam!- all the "streamer reeeee" people in here can't see the forest for the trees, this would absolutely be a positive change but people just see datto and go feral.
-
Big name streamers and YouTubers don't speak for the community.
-
Believe me I want nothing more than to farm raids when I want instead of having to wait for them to come into rotation. But they won’t change that up because they want to limit your options so you login in more often giving them more options to shove Eververse in your face.
-
Thank you for repeating something that Datto said.
-
Oh, Datto said so?! That obviously makes this statement 100x more credible.
-
Datto's right.
No he's not.

I can't say as I agree with doing away with rotations and making all activities farmable, though I am personally not going to watch his video to hear the points raised. If it makes the game slightly more stable and allows for more content to be available, I would even say that they could remove those activities entirely until their rotation week like the Exotic Mission rotator. Yes, they would need to have more of them on rotation in that case, but if we can have different content available it would be worth the extra download each Tuesday.
-
Modificato da WizardWolf: 3/14/2024 5:01:43 PMThe problem is nobody plays older content like duality or GoS. If they were never in the focus via the rotator, nobody would ever play it and new players won't be able to matchmake with anyone. At that point it might as well just be vaulted. EDIT: Maybe it could be a daily rotator like with lost sectors
-
According to these forums (half the time) Bungie shouldn’t be listening to streamers and content creators as they’re the elite and ruining the game for everyone else. So obviously they should ignore this and keep rotators indefinitely.
-
Rotators funnel people into a specific activity. There is not enough player base to do away with rotators. If you go to lfg you will find a dozen or so posts for garden of salvation. But how many will you find for last wish? Last week it was the other way around. Food for thought.
-
They could keep the rotating pinnacles. Just make master challenges available at all times. Having to wait for it to be a pinnacle week is annoying.
-
I’m so glad this forums doesn’t control the game or it would’ve been dead long ago with ideas like this that people just don’t think more than two seconds about.
-
Modificato da Zoidberg: 3/14/2024 7:21:43 PMI literally just made a post about this last week lol
-
We’re 7 years into this game. Let ppl farm what they want, when they want. Waiting a month to farm certain encounters is ridiculous. Raids, Dungeons, even GMs… it’s just drip feeding.
-
I swear I saw a post the other day before this video came out saying the exact same thing and everyone was saying how it was a bad idea…
-
Master and challenges should be available all the time.
-
Dont need a "Datto" to point out the obvious. Bungie wants to dictate when we play and what we play. They designed this system for people to keep logging in and checking if they can finally farm their desired dungeon/raid. Its purely to get players to login more. Every decision of this dev has a bitter taste to it and is driven by greed. The more frequently you log in, the more likely you will check the store and therefore maybe spend money + you are more likely to play other stuff instead if you already logged in. These clowns literally do trainings for their game designers to analyse human addiction behavior. Absolute worst trash humanity has to offer. You know what i did in consequence? I simply dont grind end game anymore. Because f them and their dictatorship. I play other games instead. I play when i want and not when a dev tells me "now its time to farm garden" after 5 weeks of waiting.

Modificato da THA_3rd_GUY: 3/14/2024 12:17:56 PMAt this point, it's just another case of FOMO. Which really is not healthy for the game at this moment.
-
Modificato da xbroggiex: 3/13/2024 11:04:27 PMRotators should stay but not be tied to if the activity is farmable or not. Raids should be farmable but after your first clear per character you no longer have a chance for a dropped item to be a red border. Raids should have master modes available at all times, but the featured raid is the only one with all challenges available and the featured raid would have a much higher chance for red borders to drop. Dungeons just needs to be farmable and then the featured dungeon gives double or triple drops per encounter completion. Master mode should still rotate the same as it does right now though or master is available on all dungeons but the featured dungeon has better total stats on artiface gear.
-
Keep rotator, but make all dungeons and raids farmable. Double rewards when in rotator!
-
What's a Datto?
-
They really need to get rid of pinnacle and everyone starts at 1810 . All dungeons need to be farmable all the time this whole system they got dont work anymore . Bungie is losing players by the slow down everyone, nerf everything philosophy. That and players get bored fast waiting around for some dungeon to be the rotator if they haven't moved on and forgot about by then. There is literally a sea of great games. Bungie should step it up some, get off the slow train and give the players more options for player engagement now not wait until it's to late ..
-
At least give us TWO raids and TWO dungeons featured per week. With the crazy amount of them both out right now, waiting 6 weeks (to farm, or do things for the seal) for your favorite raid is ridiculous.
-
Keep the rotator for the pinnacle, make them all farmable all the time
