Eververse Pricing Feedback

If the price was lower you'd sell more units thus making more money. These sets for 2000 silver are ridiculous if they were 1000 I'd probably buy all 3 sets but as it is I won't buy any. I bought the assassins creed sets x2 thinking ok it's a 1 off but now it's just a sour taste to buy any plus theres no more sets for bright dust. It's not asif it costs to make more so please consider lowering the prices and I guarantee more ppl will buy them

  • They research heavily into price points with the shop. They know exactly where the prices need to be to maximize transactions. I’ll personally never understand why gamers get upset over cosmetics being sold. If they’re not reaching expectations with profits, people lose their jobs and the cost of the game goes up. Like it or not, that’s the bottom line.

They price digital items like they're physical goods with limited numbers.

    • If everything was half off that would still be too much in my opinion. I understand colabs costing a lot but it doesn't make sense for the others imo

You've already spent $40 on two sets, why would they change price? You are doing EXACTLY what they want. Even by not buying the 3rd set at a discounted price, they already got your sale. You may as well buy the emote as well, make your transaction complete!

    •
If the price was lower you'd sell more units thus making more money.
That's debatable. I'd probably spend $20 a season if EV items were $1-$3 each, but that doesn't mean 7-20 times more people would buy in as well, & that would just be enough to break even with one whale purchase.

What's funny that the whole Witcher set would be actually more precious if it was a reward for doing something special, difficult, like solo a GM or dungeon with a bow, glaive & sword... you know something like this. My most valuble cosmetic item is still the bunny ghost that I got from Prophecy, cos it took me some work to get.

        • You can buy the full 'Wild Hunt' game for cheaper, complete with the DLC, and look like Geralt of Rivia all the time.

          • Bungie wants to gain money in the shortest time possible(Path of Least resistance). If they kept devoting the Money they got from D2, and put it back into D2 and not Marathon, they wouldn't be in this Mess.

              • Been pushing this logical statement since Eververse was introduced. You make things cheap, more people will be inclined to spend money and buy more cosmetics and there fire it profits Bungie in the long run.

              • Always was perplexed by people’s thoughts on pricing when it came to Eververse. (It’s evil btw). I understand paying 2000 silver ($20) for a skin is painful, but what other pricing structure would you suggest? If it was affordable then everyone would have it, then they’d complain there’s no uniqueness in the game. Also, I never got the correlation when people compare a skin (like Witcher) to the cost of the (Witcher) game itself. I just don’t see any price justification in that thought process. Anyway, it is what it is, take it or leave it (IMHO). I do agree that if they halved their prices they’d triple their sales at least. Then they’d make quarterly goals.

                • The psychology behind microtransaction pricing is: 1: Rip people off. 2: Make LESS people buy it so the people who do don't see it every 3rd character in the game. You know, make it feel somewhat exclusive. 3: Ridiculous price offsets low sales. If an armor set was $2, I'd buy some. And so would you, your 3 friends, 15 clanmates, 124 randos within a 25 miles radius of you, etc... Since they're $20, only a few of those people would buy them.
