There's other variables at play in the algorithm.

Does anyone else see anything wrong with this? Anyone, at all?
😁 Does anyone play this game? There's going to be a lot of dismantles... surely. If you're looking for 1 specific roll? Probably most of them... maybe you keep a few others along the way, but mostly all of them you'll shard/delete... UNTIL you get your perfect roll.
Now, remember the title? Who here actually focuses stuff? That's 240 days of active game-time. I play a lot... but how long has focusing been a thing?
Who here has gotten that 5/5 they wanted, multiple times? Almost every time when you prioritize a specific weapon for focusing...?
If this math & title was correct... no one would ever get what they want beyond sheer luck. Facts.
For the record, I have terrible rng... but I still get what I want, exactly what I want. I certainly don't have 240 days of [b]STRAIGHT GAMEPLAY[/b] since focusing was introduced... I'll tell you that.

Dude, I AGREE with you. Can't anyone read? Everyone has lots of god rolls but scant few of those came from focusing engrams. They came from random drops. Heck, nightfall weapon focusing has only been available for about one season. My whole point is that focusing is a ripoff and extremely unlikely to yield a god roll. Further, most people's god rolls aren't perfect 5/5s. They're probably 3 or 4 out of 5, much more likely. And many of those, because they weren't focused, may have rolled with two perk options in column 3 and/or 4, doubling or quadrupling the likelihood of getting a desired roll, rather than just a single perk in each column as is the case with focused weapons. Lastly, people in this forum, on average, play considerably more than the 99.9% of casual players who don't post here, so of course the die hard players will have a greater likelihood of having a god roll. Just answer this one question, if Bungie reduces the price to focus a nightfall weapon from 5 engrams to 1 or 2 engrams, will you post a comment here demanding Bungie raise the price back to 5? Of course not because you agree with the only point I was trying to make, weapon focusing is currently a ripoff.
