Those are rose tented glasses, If you listen to the original ghost lines , even dinklage wasn't excited about the character, A.I doesn't mean bored robot , North does ghost alot better, and does the serios lines like when he is mad or scared better than dinklage could Could you imagine dinklebot in Forsaken when we find Cayde, would be cringe

Its not anything against him, but he's a screen actor first. North has decades of experience as a voice actor, plus he fits the quirky-annoying sidekick as Ghost, which was basically what 343 guilty spark was in Combat evolved.

I think part of it is Nolan has had more time to develop the character too. I remember I didn’t like him initially when they replaced Dinklage
