My join code does not work, players who attempt to use my join code receive an error message. Players already on my friends list are able to join my session without issue. All of my in game Social Preferences are set to public. I have even forwarded the relevant Destiny 2 ports in my router. I am able to use other players join codes and if a friend who is already in my fire-teams posts their join code for LFGers they are able to join my party using my friends join code, but not mine. I have changed my Bungie name incase the issue was with an invalid character as my previous name was ":|", this did not solve the issue. I read on Reddit that the one person solved this issue by removing their cross save accounts. I am unable to remove my cross save account as I receive an authentication error every time I attempt to link them. I have removed the links between my old xbox account I played Destiny 1 on through the Microsoft™ and Xbox™ website and then relinked them. This did not work. I have tried linking the accounts through Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Android Chrome Browser and Android Destiny Companion App; all of which have given me the exact same error. I am effectively locked into only playing solo or match made content because of this issue, unless I have a friend who can send their join code in LFG for me or if someone has already posted the activity I wish to post LFG for. Still players cannot connect to me. Edit 5: before changing my DNS back I tried to reauthenticate my account. to my shock the authentication went through instead of the usual error message in edit1. Took this opportunity to not authenticate the old xbox account and instead remove it completely through the "account linking" secion of the bungie website settings. if anyone else is having this issue, try changing your DNS when attempting to remove old accounts. will update if this has fixed my join code for good. edit6: solved.
