Infuse the reissued version into the sunset version (maybe have it cost some ascendant shards?) to inherit the power cap would be a good change imo. Pinnacles would stay dead and we'd still have to wait for reissues in order to bring a specific weapon or armor piece forward.

In Destiny 1 when Ascension was introduced (To bring pre-House of Wolves gear to the new cap) it was done with a currency that could only be obtained a limited amount of times per week. Ascendant Shards aren't gated nor hard to come by if you run Nightfalls.

Nobody cared about the Ascension material cost in Destiny 1 and they wouldn't care about an Ascendant Shard cost if it meant bringing their favorite sunset weapons forward. Stop wanting everything to be so easy.

Stop wanting everything to be so easy.[/quote] I want my -blam!-ing shit i earn to stay usable instead of literally being brought back as a "solution" to the "self-made problem", this has nothing to do with wanting anything to be easy and your idea is stupid, nobody is going to think that having to pay up ascendant shards just to "update" a piece of gear is a genius idea, specially when people WILL have to carefully decide on what exactly to "update" with ascendant shards instead of just picking the damn thing out of their vault after bungie brings said item back (if they were to retroactively update the gear in the vault/on the character, like they did with Leviathan, LW, Scourge, Garden raid gear for season of Arrivals, if they're able to do it for that gear then clearly they can do it with any gear) and just use them again without some over complicated bs nobody wants. I'm happy someone like you doesn't work at bungie.
