It's the year 2020, why do we still not start with super energy when dropped into losing games?
Nothing more fun than dropping into a game in-progress and losing, and then also running into nothing but enemy supers for the minute or two. I'm not sure why we can't have our super energy at least 1/4 to 1/2 full when put into these matches, it's been asked for since 2014.
Edit: or a 30-45 second boost to the charge rate of our super. Something.

We shouldn’t even be sent to games in progress.. there should be no option to leave a PvP match. I understand that your internet might crap out or your power goes out and there isn’t anything you can do about that.. but nobody should be able to leave a match for any reason. even Idling. But I do agree about having your super ready to go in a 75-20 match.

I have to agree with this post. You get dropped in and everyone has a super and heavy ammo is being distributed, and I'm running around, feeling like cannon fodder for the next few minutes.

IMO we should start super at the same level as the lowest super person in the game so we aren’t advantaged or disadvantaged

Dont say "its 2020, why..." ITS BEEN 3 DAYS counting new years day. There hasnt been enough time to physically change anything. Bungie takes like 3 weeks to change headline issues, the government takes months by design, etc.

It's not fun dropping into a losing game, and that's why it doesn't count against you. Problem solved.

Just because a few bums leave early, or get disconnected, doesn't mean you get to start with something that can shift the outcome in your favor even though you've come in late against your own choice. Take your ass pounding, grab the rewards you still get regardless of the outcome, and hope you get a fresh match in a few minutes. If winning mattered, maybe there could be a different discussion. What I think is a bigger travesty is Bungie errors removing you from an activity when you had full special/heavy and then when you renitence you're back to zero. That is truly -blam!-.

1 RispondiMaybe it's a "Richard" move but if I drop in on the losing side and hear enemy supers going off I'm heading back to orbit. There's not a piece of loot in this game I need badly enough to put up with that mess. Would probably stick around if I at least had comparable super energy to defend myself.

Although I don't disagree, I suspect it's because network manipulation is so easy to do that unscrupulous people (i.e. cheaters) would just temporarily disconnect themselves from the match and then reconnect to continually get free supers, super quickly. :P Bungie need to get dedicated servers before anything else.

A lot of games definitely pull this off without much problems. It would definitely be nice to not feel like you're stuck at the start of the game while everyone else is mid game.

Back in the year 2019, I think roughly around the christmas period just before the staff there took off for their holidays, Bungie stated that the next hotfix would be in the early parts of 2020. As we are now in 2020, Bungie will be looking to work on and fix a few things

1 RispondiI think we've all experienced spawning into a losing match and looking at a Super right in front of you when you touch down. The least that Bungie could do is give us Super energy based on our Intelligence stat and the elapsed match time. I mean, throw us a fricking bone here.

1 RispondiThis! It gets so old after a while. I get dumped into matches just as the Super train gets started. I get killed over and over. Then the match ends before I get to use my Super even once. Real fun, guys.

4 RisposteThe poor experience of joining late in the crucible is a symptom of the greater disease, quitters... Others have said for Bungie to disable people from joining late... So let’s say we do that... now, 5 people have to suffer through 8-10 minutes of aggravation for the actions of one. How much longer are we going to work around and deal with poor behavior. If you quit a match, you are locked out of match made activities for 30 min, you quit again 24 hrs, 3 times, week ban... after so many times, permanent ban. Zero tolerance.

Don't really feel like it's that much of an issue. Would rather them focus on not putting you into halfway matches instead. Especially when load times are at their worst and quests or bounties can be over strenuous when having to complete multiple matches to do so, half matches do not help.

So how to make such a buff that generates super for that issue is unlikely to be explored by them.

Somebody already said it and I think they were right. They're not adding you to turn the tides of the match, they're filling a gap and attempting to please people who complained about long load times.
