Let it be fixed at 10 legendary shards which is their initial cost.
With the cores not being the endgame of armor masterworking anymore, it doesn't make any sense to have this restriction, not even the new ones at banshee have this ridiculous price increase.
Also, banshee could start selling them as well, just for practicality, since he already sells the other 2.

How are you guys still on the core issue? I had less than 100 before shadowkeep now I have almost 250 and I don’t play that much. Do your gunsmith bounties every day and pop a finest every so often. They drop all the time.
-
They should raise it to 20, and then remove the price increase. I think that would be a relatively fair balance.

I'm good with them keeping the price at 10 per Core as long as you can buy a maximum of 1 per day.
-
You can now remove the price increase.............by paying $15 in EV store, it’ll be under the ease of life tab which is next to the “Give us money” tab.
-
Why make currencies useless? Do you need another glimmer? another legendary shard? I already have 900 cores... why should I be able to buy in bulk for basically no cost? Can you for once just let a currency have value and do the work required to get it?
-
spider is not the problem the prob is bungie, since stupidity in there ranks is growing ... before shadowkeep we needed not more than 30 cores for masterwork ... now we need 120. ....i mean what kind of brain dmg bungie is suffering ???
-
A daily reset on spiders "core" bounties would be nice.
-
Modificato da Cinderchar: 11/9/2019 6:06:16 PMIt’s there to prolong a mostly meaningless grind because the actual content is so shallow. If Bungie thought they had good content worth doing they wouldn’t make maxing gear and power level the “endgame” especially when stats are still mostly worthless and a higher power level doesn’t even make you more powerful. Go watch the guy who hit 999 power still die just as easily as anyone else in his attempt to solo the Shattered Throne if you need an example of true lack of power even at the highest level.

Its fine,

Modificato da tollo003: 11/10/2019 3:55:26 PMDropping master working weapons back to 10 cores would be nice, considering we get half the benefit now on orb pickup. But this never happens & we get squeezed yet again in every little manner possible, this game is becoming a chore again & it's not fun.
-
Better yet offer them at weekly packages at the same price. Most people play destiny everyday. I would rather be playing than spending meaningless time going to spider when I remember to do it
-
3 characters doing banshee quest = 9 cores a day. +2 from spider (reasonable amount and cost)= 11 cores a day = 77 cores a week PoH on 3 characters gets a MW item that disassembles into 6 cores and 6 prisms = 18 cores and 18 prisms 95 cores and 18 prisms = 27 prisms = 2 ascendant shards per week All for just, you know, playing the game...
-
‘They’re easy to get though!’. So it would affect you negatively how if you could buy them for 10 shards a piece?
-
No just do bounties it takes ten minutes for 20 cores
-
Who can possibly have problems with lack of cores right now every time I look at my inventory it seems like I have 10 or so laying In there and I've masterworked every weapon I even remotely use.
-
Modificato da Erijian: 11/9/2019 10:13:28 PMThe point of the price increase is to punish people who try to just buy all their consumables rather than grind for them. It's the exact same for Radiant Prisms and Ascendant Shards. You're only intended to buy a few if you absolutely need to, not rely on them.
-
my guy, if you play the game you wont have a problem earning them. Just dont be that guy that wastes them on gear that gets scrapped the next better drop. I dont even try and farm for them an i already have enough to masterwork more than a full set of gear.
-
Are you kidding? Cores are the easiest thing to get in the game now
-
It should be 40 shards than, 10 would be too cheap. But I agree in that they should stay the same price and not deviate.
-
Modificato da mpuchar: 11/9/2019 7:42:07 PMI'm fine with the cost of cores as-is, also fine with the cost of upgrading/masterworking legendaries, what they really need to change is the cost of masterworking exotics. It should not cost 3 golf balls to fully masterwork a piece of exotic armor. Make it cost 1 or remove affinities from exotic armor
-
It would basically nullify some of the irritating things associated with cores by way of life-draining grind.
-
Because of how easily they drop I don't think 10 shards for every core is the best idea however I will 100% agree that doubling the price each time is excessive. I would say that if its' going to be a locked price, that it needs to be between 15-20 shards per core. If bungie and/or the community feels that this would make them to common then they should make it so the price should start at 5 shards for the first core and will increase by 5 shards each time... core 1 = 5 shard, core two = 10 shards, core 3 = 15 shards, etc. This would make it so the price of the tenth core would be 50 shards which for me at least just makes sense. The total price for 10 cores which is for all intents and purposes 1 prism would be 275 shards. and this is of course ignoring the number number of cores that drop as well. This would be a fairly large cut from the current grind which is been well beyond inflated to the point of artificial.

For new players its probably pretty terrible. For a month and a half leading up to Shaowkeep, I did the Gunsmith bounties every day on all three characters. Through those and dismantles, I had 1008 to start this season. I've leveled all my characters and have my most important things infused and am sitting at 944 having hit a low of 890 something. I was pretty careless with them knowing I had so many. No, I havent masterworked any armor but thats because I noticed through doing the Pit and getting it there, that I dont need to if I give it some time. Anyway, do those bounties every day (they dont take long at all) and get the 7 from your Hawthorne XP and you'll be sitting on a stockpile in no time.

Unpopular opinion, but i enjoy the little bit of world-building that it does. It makes him really feel like a slimy mob boss, back-alley huckster-type character. Especially when he's selling something players want (Also Banshee is your friend)
