I mean it defeats the entire point of Gambit. In that situation, the way you'd win in Gambit would be the same as everyone else. People would find out what the best build for add clear and boss melting is, and then everyone playing the game would do the same thing. The dynamic of invading, blockers ect stop that from happening, because it doesn't matter if you take some dull meta PvE burn loadout, if some invader just dunks on your entire team. The only issue with Invaders right now is that they're all cowards and use weapons that are so overkill, as to be ridiculous and effortless. Heavy weapons especially are nonsense in Invasions, and imo just ruin the entire concept of a guy invading you and hunting you down, if he's just gonna be an 30 year old toddler shooting Truth 8 times, like a coward. Proudest invasion moment was walking through a portal with 20 overcharged Sturm rounds and 2 tapping the whole team and being aggressive as hell and unlocking the primary only full team wipe triumph.

 •
I mean it defeats the entire point of Gambit.
If you can get the same rewards as Gambit/Crucible without ever doing Gambit/Crucible, I consider that a move in the right direction. PVP should be optional for people who only want to do (and excel in) PVE.

 • Right...except that's nonsense because you don't need those to begin with. If you play only PvE, most of the best weapons are PvE only anyway. Izanagi, Loaded Question, Hammerhead, Jotunn, any Raid or Nightfall weapon. Any good random drop Exotic is typically for PvE as well like Huckleberry, Sunshot, Riskrunner. The only guns that made a significant impact on PvE, despite being in PvP or Gambit, are Mountaintop and Recluse, and those weapon can get bent. But at the same time, if you want the reward...go work for it. I didn't have Recluse till this season, and after 2 weeks, I vaulted it because I got bored. Gambit is no different. I vaulted 21% Delirium, and none of the Gambit or Gambit Prime weapons are that value, besides Spare Rations, which is more valuable in PvP anyway, or Night Watch scout rifle. It's only till I got Exit Strategy, that I consider that one of the best PvE kinetic weapons right now. But maybe you should just bite the bullet and play it. What are you gonna do instead?

 •
What are you gonna do instead?
I'd honestly rather do anything else but PVP. I just want the same rewards (Recluse, Mountaintop, Week One Powerful Gear so I can do the raid sooner in each season) without having to "bite the bullet" and endure PVP. I hate PVP that much.
