To be very honest, if there was no Invading then Gambit would be pointless! I understand the frustration that invasion causes but it needs to remain there.
If you want simply a horde mode, cause that’s what it would be, then there is already options there.
In my opinion, it is the frequency of invasion that is needed and there has to be a risk element from invading. If you invade and die, it doesn’t affect you or your team at all - but if you invade and kill someone with motes then that affects the opposition- there needs to be a balance.

The problem isn't just the game mode. The problem is: 1. Some PVE gear (i.e. for raiding) is locked behind PVP content. My raid team demands I get some of these weapons. 2. The only effective way to maximize your Power in week one of a new season is to force yourself to touch PVP at all. And for most PVP content, Power advantage is disabled. This means that pure-PVE players (like I want to be) are punished and held back if they don't PVP. Which I hate.

Which I hate.[/quote] I appreciate this, and I can see why people don’t like Gambit - personally I hate it and invading has too much influence and it happens way too often.... but that is part of Gambit. Take it away and it is simply just another horde mode. If your raid team demands you to have these weapons, I would suggest looking for another raid team. Nobody has the right to demand that you use certain weapons, especially if it means going in to a mode that you hate! There is plenty PVE activities that you can do instead that will help with your light level, yes it will take slightly longer but you do not need to do any pvp based activities. We aren’t punished, we aren’t held back at all. I hate Raids, I haven’t done any and yet I’m still 950 Base Level, +13 Artifact Level because I am doing other activities instead. I wish you th very best, I understand your frustration but I cannot agree with it.
