After all we didn’t know about the leviathan or calus until we accepted his invitation so why make a weapon that refers to a character that when it was made knee nothing about?
Perhaps calus told Benedict to tell banshee to build the bow to give to us and banshee having reseted 44 times forgot until today?
-
With the new lore tab, banshee did not make the leviathans breath, he... found it next to a dead body and though it was cool...
-
Benedict and Werner weren’t hacked until Calus took interest in us after Ghaul’s death, so they didn’t play a role in that. Banshee didn’t know about Calus until he appeared after Ghaul’s death. So any weapons made before then don’t have any Calus influence. Perhaps he made the bow, it collected dust, then someone was like “here, let’s use this.” And another dude was like “okay, what for?” “Um, I don’t know, Calus stuff.” “That’s clearly not a Calus weapon.” “We’ll just put a Calus quote as flavor text. No one will notice, they’re all idiots.” “Yeah, they are all idiots.”

He took a regular bow and enchanted it with Power V, Punch II, and Mending.
-
Banshee is a bit of a drinker. A drunk, you would say. Likes to get loaded up and let’s the creative juices flow. Designs really cool stuff. Forgets about it.
-
Banshee forgets. The weapon is based off Cabal tech, so he probably stumbled upon a reference to Calus and the Leviathan and then... forgot.
-
Good question. Another question I have, does Banshee have to take that long-ass twisty route to get to his own workshop or does he have a door in the back of his kiosk that goes right to it? Because that was just stupid.
-
one day he say a guardian wielding Wish-Ender and thought, "bet I can make a bigger bow".
-
He probably hit the 950 level cap and got bored then since everything else was pointless doing he thought he’d build something new.
-
Because why not
-
He doesn't remember.

The only thing that matters is how you spelled leviathan.
