Make all Legendary Equipment Universal Ornaments.
Paid a lot for this game and the transmog system feels a little lacking, I usually like a lot of legendary equipments looks but end up having to unequip just for better stats, some items would take a long time to try and RNG roll good stats on, doesn't seem like a very good system when I have paid nearly 200$ for this game.
Edit: Wow what a great response! Thank you all for speaking up! Another note to add, I want Legendary ornaments to unlock when you earn said gear, not just everything is unlocked from the get-go.
Edit 2: To those that say doing this would remove people having to grind activities and "ruin" endgame :
Listen, I don't know how much time you have on your hands, but I guarantee the majority of players do not have the time to equally grind the gear they want for stats, light level, and appearance. While also actually enjoying the game, at the end of the day I want my cake and I want to eat it, me and the rest of the community paid for this game and our continued support keeps development going, many people I know have quit D2 exactly for this reason (the grind and lack of aesthetic systems), having to grind is perfectly fine, but the appearance of equipment which has no effect on the game should not be another dimension of that grind, its extremely unfair to people who do not have 4+ hours a day to continuously grind for stats, light level, and appearance, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. You are welcome to disagree but that is just my point of view.
Edit 3: Pharaoh Rising suggested having to dismantle the piece of equipment to get the ornament, that way if you still want the gear in general you still have to grind for it, that is a good middle ground and I would wholly support that kind of system.

I agree. People saying about the grind for stats need to relize the loss of that grind is replaced by the grind for elemental affinity. New armour/ornaments Guns (random rolls) Armour Mods Weapon mods Catalysts Etc I think that's enough grind tbh

I'm still missing alot of earlier armor sets - not because I don't like them, but because there is simply no reason for me to bother getting them (sorry but I cannot be bothered to upgrade multiple suits just for looks alone) - but if I could use them as cosmetic options - you bet yer ass I'd be hammering out getting every piece I could. The 'ruined endgame' argument doesn't hold water - because not everyone plays the game to horde and upgrade every suit of armor they come across. Plus, you are going to retain more players by enabling them to be very satisfied with their character - and more often than not, a characters appearance has *a lot* to do with that. Personally, I can have all the endgame gear in the world - but if I can't look the way I want to look, my interest wanes quickly.

In all the previews it had it this way you could equip anything you had already acquired. I thought bungie has split from activision.

1 RispondiAgreed. Legendary gear should be able to be ornamented to look like any other gear, excluding exotics (for obvious reasons). This was kind of what was advertised to be in Shadowkeep to an extent however it did not happen.

Maybe dont make it universal ornaments (it would completely flood the ornament tab on those items) Make it, so Armor in the Collection are not items but purchasable One use Ornaments. (Think of it like an Shader) This would give you Access to the entire Armor Collection , gets rid of the useless Collection Armor Entries for Year 2 Armor and would not flood the Ornament tab on every Armorpiece. (There is a bug with Vanguard / crucible and Iron Banner ornament that does exactly this)

Modificato da Kiivimies: 10/14/2019 7:17:00 PMIt sure is sad how poorly they made this system and i had high hopes for it. 2.0 solstice also looks really bad if you want to use blue tier with any energy color, they just removed effects that it used to have which is no brainer, for effect that used to be 5000 bright dust/800 silver. Edit: im not sure if there is suggestion already about this, but i would pref having item on vendor that allows us to turn normal items into cosmetic. So we wouldn't have all of them in there, only those we want to pay for and really have.

10 RisposteThey need to throw away this entire -blam!-ing transmog system. Its garbage no debate. This is the only damn game that wants to be fps morpg with the shallowest rpg elements. I should be able to ornament every armor piece including exotic. Its strictly visual. Any game with a successful transmog systems allows every armor piece as a skin. Dont even get me started on the lackluster shaders , disgusting color palletes your forced to use and again some shallow customization options. My exotics which i cant equip more than 1 weapon and one armor , means i can never see visually my gardian in full exotic gear. While they could just make more difficult encounters and more complex bosses i understand how lazy they are. At they very least let me ornament the damn look. Let me ornament my pieces that i cant wear because your team is too lazy to figure out balancing. Unable to have to imagine a puzzle wear a gaurdian would need more than one exotic or an enemy for VET players to have to figure out best end game combinations to defeat. But thats wishful thinking. Back to the art major dropout cheap armor yall just throw into the game. these trash , gatbage looking armor pieces, that you expect Im supposed to be some god killing gaurdian looking homeless ? Gtfo here. With rng from raid and other shit i should not be forced to wear shit looking armor or an armor set that everyone and they damn mother has because of stats. I want to be strong and look good doing it and not look like the next 25 damn players in the tower.. these -blam!-ing 3rd world trash armor ornaments from eververse is not cutting it. 90% of the armor in this game is trash looking , uninspired and looks copied and pasted from previous armors. Ive given this damn company too much money. Ive been playing since D1 day 1. Its crazy to me this damn company cant get thier shit together. As if they dont have better examples of games to draw from.

Bungie already received feedback regarding the general concept of adding more ornaments/applying more designs from collections and such. All you can do is keep playing out armor 2.0 and make suggestions alongside what might be easier to work with, and just wait at this point.
