Dear all the people making sh*t comments to people who want a more friendly solo experience...
It wouldn't affect your experience one iota, so be maybe stop, put on a thinking cap and contemplate what you're about to say before you post something ignorant.
Facts: making the game better for solo play doesn't mean getting rid of team activities or even dumbing them down.
What it does mean is
-better Matchmaking in PvP environments that are currently extremely unbalanced towards fireteams.
-more and/or better matchmaking options for PvE content like Nightfalls, raids and dungeons.
-more endgame content like Shattered Throne that can be done solo or in a fireteam and both are a true endgame challenge.
If you want to keep having a game to play into the future, you might not want to tell people who experience the game differently than you to "find another game". You also might want to try a little empathy and understanding instead of faux internet basement-rage.

2 RisposteWhy can’t they just have different tiers .. Have three different levels of difficulty in stuff with the highest being “fireteam recommended/matchmaking available” Then you can choose. Go solo and get a fairly easy ride, go solo with a harder difficulty, go solo or team up...and scale the rewards.. But give a higher chance of the very best stuff dropping to the highest level.. Just a suggestion.

Met most of my friends on destiny by either them randomly asking me for help or the other way around, is interaction absolutely no option at all?

They are asking for just solo activities where they are the only ones playing them. That is not a good thing, as this takes dev time away from group activities to cater to an activity that the game doesn't revolve around. I am absolutely okay with some activities getting matchmaking while you will see me at the front demanding an in game LFG system in place for raids/end game PvE activities that are supposed to be difficult.

If you just want everything to have matchmaking or just be done solo without any matchmaking of any kind I'm sorry but this game simply isn't for you. You can call it toxic, gatekeeping, or even elitism all you want but destiny simply doesn't (and never will) work like that.

I could go Levi also but was busy typing on forums! you have no excuse and no shame for asking the game to be dumbed down, more than it is now, PERIOD As it is now, i think you guys are just trolling....with your nerf difficulty petitions Srsly, just stop, raids dont need matchmaking, NF don't need matchmaking, we have awesome apps for it, and if you don't meet the requirements that ppl are asking for, its not ppl's fault. You can always make your own groups

Better matchmaking for PvP, I'm all for. Completely, 100%. Matchmaking for Nightfalls? Yeah, sure. Matchmaking for Raids? Still a hard no. More content that can be done solo like Shattered Throne? Great. More single player content? Sure. Matchmaking for Raids? No. This needs to stop being suggested entirely. THAT does negatively impact every player. The raids either get dumbed down for matchmaking and it becomes a stepping stone before you do the real raid (WoW did this), or it's too much of a challenge that the matchmaking feature goes unused (Even Destiny's half attempt at matchmaking through the Sherpa system had that problem). Matchmaking for Raids needs to be completely removed from the conversation, especially when there's LFG systems already available. (Xbox has it built in, don't know about PS4, and PC has the internet)

Nightfalls, at least the version you get via guided games, can easily be matchmade at this point. You get a pretty basic experience without custom modifiers, but at least you get to play it. As for raids: Even though I have yet to complete any D2 raids, I'm still not a fan of raid matchmaking. I'm picturing people dropping out halfway through or leaving because the encounter is taking too long, like I've seen in D1 raids and the few times I attempted using LFG for D2 raids

I agree 100%. Plus it’s a lot of missed revenue on bungie’s side. Matchmaking solo or fire team for all activities is the biggest flaw here. Forsaken sales is where it has started to show. Who will keep buying a game that they can’t play or locked out of content. Even final fantasy figured that out.

Fireteams in matchmaking are usually paired against each other but more often than not it won’t be 6v6 stack. So what are the groups of 6 supposed to do when there just isn’t another 6 stack at that moment to pair? Not play? Penalizing team play in a team activity sounds counterintuitive. You could suggest a solo-queue, but there’s Rumble already, and what’s the sense in adding a solo queue to a team game mode? How would you tackle that?

Nicely worded. Solo experience, not solo play. I imagine the vast majority of people play this game solo. It’s just a few either have clans or friends that still play that they can group up with from time to time to do the harder content. There is literally no valid argument against proper MM for every single activity outside of the raid. And the raid should have some sort of LFG element built into the game but that’s more difficult to achieve at this point. We are just tired of having to search LFG to find the one group of the thousands who are not uptight douchebags. The one group who doesn’t kick you right at the end so you can’t claim your reward. It’s unfortunate and sad Bungie has built and catered to the elitism of this game. I truly hope it kills them going into next year. The only reason I can think that MM doesn’t exist for NFs, ST, Whisper, etc. is that Bungie and a small portion of the aforementioned douchebag player base like the divide. I’m just getting closer to accepting it and moving on from this barely played game anymore. Even Opulence is bringing the heroic mode for the 6 man which is premade only and I am sure will have all the better rewards. Solo players HAVE to stop supporting this game after this season.

Destiny has barely enough of a solo experience to have kept me around. Normally, I despise multiplayer only games. You are totally at the mercy of the player base availability, which is BS to me. Look at Anthem. Most of the player base jumped ship, so the game doesn't have enough players to match make. Last time I tried to play a Stronghold (Hard difficulty) the game threw me in with only one other player. Yeah, we got trounced.

just change the date on your console, then load up the strike Playlist. you can solo to your hearts content. shattered throne can be soloed, whisper mission, zero hour normal, strikes, blind well, there is quite a bit you can solo or attempt to solo. most people who tell you that this is a multi player game are correct, they just don't do it in a constructive way. you get the best loot from team based activities in this game, that's how it's always been, your just going to have to suck it up on lfg to get the best gear. I have done it for whisper and zero hour and the people I meet on lfg are pretty cool most of the time. if they are a dolt then I split and find another group.

Literally every post I make about the “solo experience” or anything referencing “solo play,” I get these kinds of comments. My history looks like shit, because my opinion doesn’t even matter it seems. But I can’t take it seriously when most the people that reply to my posts have 1 character made and it’s not within 100 power of max. All they do is spend time in the forums, or these people literally play other games, and waste everyone’s time with their troll comments. Really unfortunate.
