Phalanx "shield-bash" flying glich
Bungie please fix this glitch. it seems pretty well known in the destiny community but it still hasn't been fixed. the glitch is where a phalanx will melee you but instead of being pushed back and taking damage, you will fly across the map and die from fall damage, or you will be flung into a wall and die instantly. this is especially annoying in this weeks nightfall (shield brothers for those of you who may be reading at a later date). as if it isn't hard enough already with the grounded (as jumping is normally a big mechanic in the main boss fight) and trickle (your abilities recharge slower) are two of the modifiers, we have to deal with being cautious to avoid being melee'd by the phalanxes (and there are a lot of them). please comment to share your opinions on this matter, and please try to bring this to bungie's attention

1 Rispondii find it fun, whilst can be annoying, you can also do some pretty crazy things with it, phalanxes arent the only one that can super-punch! you can too! ive done it before where the phalanx melee'd me and it flew away instead XD IT WAS AWSOME

1 RispondiBut warlocks can use their glide after getting flung with the shield, and in an open environment you can travel wawwaaaayyyy far . It's hilarious.

This is just a technical problem, the physics in Destiny appear to be chaotic at times, it's due to the hit registration between you and the offending Cabal in question. The shield is meant to damage you and push you slightly, but, it pushes you into the ground, obviously, you can't drill down into the planet, so, the game fires you forward, due to all the momentum of trying to push you down, resulting in colliding with something and killing you. The collision is fatal, because vehicles share the same collisions and need to result in death when a guardian is struck.

1 RispondiThis is one of my favourite attacks ,do not fix . I got melee'd just as I was throwing a nova bomb and it threw me into the next map. Hilarious.!!!! Please players have a little humour, these poor ads are getting slaughtered by us guardians multiple times a day,( admittedly a little less frequently as of yesterday) but all the same, a little support for the "ads campaign ". [spoiler]did you see what I did there? Did ya?[/spoiler]

2 RisposteI'm not sure if it's related, but I have been dying from "misadventure" more times than I can count, and most of the time I have no idea what happened. No enemy lit in red that killed me or anything.

1 RispondiOnce you get hit...jump. Seriously. On many of these long throws I have recovered and landed back in map.

3 RisposteI think it is funny when that happens. Makes me laugh everytime. I think they should put those shield guys on ship jumping puzzle in the raid.
