Stop listening to streamers bungie, they have the worst takes Ive ever heard and they always ruin the game, listen to the majority of people and not the 1%. Its not hard to make destiny both fun and challenging and it seems you cant even do either anymore
Also stop nerfing -blam!- and try buffing other stuff, the game feels worse than it was in year 1

I quote, "I'm on team less people completing contest mode," followed by laughter and agreement They also said that when it's hard, it can launch peoples streaming career, and more people watch them. They also mentioned the time Datto's team cleared a raid at the 24 hrs mark and how that became a big new story. So the takeaway from this eps is that you are not allowed to play in thier sand box snice it affects their streaming dollars/careers.

Game really easy, I mean we play it 8 hours a day. Using best builds even if we cry about them being broken. Use all exploits we see. Have a full team/guild support. "Why casuals not wanting those nerfs" "Get gud"

Remember when Bungie specifically mentioned that GMs needed to be "watchable"? Remember when Salt mentioned that Div needed a nerf only for Bungie to conveniently say they will be nerfing it despite it not "being an issue" and it was all just a matter of coincidence that Salt mentioned that before they made their announcement. Streamers aren't worth listening to as usually their opinion is of how they can change the game so they can make more money from it rather than what makes the game more fun. Just look at the recent raging about RoN being "too easy" on day one/two, and how it should be harder because the top elite streamers didn't get worlds first or their placements were bad. Lets not forget that raid trailers now are all about streamers and the oh so EPiC rAiD RaCe rather than the actual raid itself.

2 commentairesI think that some streamers provide insight to issues not really talked about. For example Sweatcicle did this video a while ago showing how bungie will literally play things safe and intentionally shaft creativity because it leads to "high expectations" from the playerbase. That being said, I think bungie needs to really look towards a compromise here between the average playerbase and the high end side. The problem, and I'll try not to sound like a BDF member here, is that the sandbox in destiny is far more complex than something like overwatch. Meta constantly shifts, sure, but the issue is they're playing a balancing act between all exotics and all classes. So what better way to get the idea of the meta than to look at what all the streamers use constantly, right? Playing devils advocate here of course. Bungie has access to more data than we know, so hopefully they make use of it. I think one thing to keep in mind is sometimes the meta is directly tied to game design, regardless if you're aberage or a streamer. For example in eater of worlds it was a sniper meta, in deep stone it was a shotgun meta. Problem is when something like linears dominate every activity in existence, I think that's when bungie makes the right changes. I think bungie makes the wrong changes sometimes when it's down to risk and reward factor. Currently there is no reason to use something like whisper because it's more difficult to use than a linear and the damage I'm pretty sure is identical. That's one change I would look at and go, okay, well obviously just buff whisper right? (please) However then the issue turns into whisper being the best option for something like oryx. Is that a problem? Not really, that's just the way the game design determines the meta. Bungie always seems more inclined to nerf select exotics rather than a weapon class/subclass as a whole, and while this makes sense, this still gatekeeps plenty of exotics from being borderline useless to extremely situational, while something like a crafted Taipan with enhanced triple tap and firing line will always be eternally good unless linears get stomped to the ground, which is further perpetuation of the cycle. At some points, this is just simply unavoidable with a game like this.

5 commentairesI don’t know what game you’re playing, but Bungie quit listening to Streamers and Hardcore PvP/PvE mains like 2+ years ago LMAO. They only care about the casual players because they make up the majority which unsurprisingly are the idiots that keep blindly throwing money at Bungie for DLC, Seasons, Silver, and etc. The ones that stand watch for opportunities to White Knight against those who criticize them. I’m not saying they shouldn’t listen to casuals feedback, but it would make more sense to me if they heavily valued the feedback from the hardcore PvP/PvE mains because those players have a better understanding about what’s good and bad due to playtime. If they’d listen to most us the game would be in a better state!

3 commentairesBungie is absolutely obsessed with engagement. Streamers increase engagement. Keeping streamers happy by making them feel less irrelevant than they actually are is a part of Bungie’s business model. That’s not going to change anytime soon. Bungie created a fantastic sandbox with Destiny, and in general is really good at creating content. As a live service Bungie is pretty bad. As a business Bungie is bottom tier. They’ve been passed around so many times to different publishers because they’re so awful. They have a built in player base from their excellent sandbox and content, so that brings them value. However a competent developer and company would’ve turned that sandbox and content into the most popular game in the world. Bungie fumbled that bag at least half a dozen times.

I don't honestly know why the decisions that were made, were made. All in all the game was hard enough as it was. There was Master Nightfalls, Raids, and Dungeons. Which I never went to because they were too hard for me. Now I played on the "Basic" mode for one character and went "can they find a balance???" Basic was soooooo easy, and Legendary made me want to throw my controller because I died so much. Where is the mid range that is actually challenging and fun vs so hard you don't want to play any more? Not to mention it here but honestly Diablo has a good structure tier. I don't remember all the level specifically but they had a good number of them. You want super hard go to Nightmare mode. You wanted super easy do super easy. Middle of the road as well. Witch Queen was awesome story and having the legendary modes to play if you wanted the difficulty. This season. I'm not feeling it. All the nerfing of weapons, disabling mods. And we are how many weeks in? 3/4? I can't even begin to do the exotic legendary this time. Coming up with a build just to have it nerfed or equipment disabled sucks. The biggest part is it is PvE!!!!! As long as the players are enjoying the game who cares if something is OP? WHO is is hurting????? Figure out the balance for PvP and leave things alone in PvE. And then there is the leveling with friends. The game is made HARDER if you add in more people. Making it so if you want to pass something you have to play ALONE to beat it. Which again, I like playing with my Fiancee and friends so why would we play a game together that scales the difficulty UP when you have more people in it. Again it was already challenging before all this new stuff was added for us now....... he doesn't even want to play anymore. I used to play all 3 toons hours a week. This season I've logged less hours than ever and only really played 1 mostly, a little on a second but nothing on my third. No desire to die over and over and over again. That to me is no fun and isn't "challenging" it's stupid......... challenging is puzzles, jumping mazes, finding secrets. Not "where can I hide so I don't die and can pass this level just so I can get through the main story line". And another thing: don't make commendations a triumph of anything that you need for a quest. The intent is for us to look at someone and actually have an idea of how good they are, not how good are they a finding a way to maximize them to get the end triumph for the most commendation. Dumbest thing ever................... I hope things change and something happens with the next season. I bought it so I'm going to play it, but minimum and not getting anywhere near as much enjoyment out of it as I used to....... also hoping they tie things together. I can't make heads or tails of the story line right now............ :-(

They have moved completion of legendary lost sectors etc off of rank 7 requirements to rank 8. what that tells me is that they have a lot of content that people just aren't doing. I am willing to bed that the vast majority of players started at rank 6, are still at rank 6, and don't particularly give a -blam!- about rank. Most people I know when they see someone at rank 7 or 8, it isn't respect or admiration they feel. Everyone I know who sees anything above 6 on someone's guardian rank mocks them and calls them a loser. It's not a badge of honor, it's a scarlet letter. So here's the deal, if people say "we aren't interested in doing this stupid bullshit to rank up, we just want to play the game and have fun" and bungie just responds "well this is the game now, it's about ranking up, not fun" people will ultimately say "okay, then we don't want to play your game", thats a bad place to be in. Period. If bungie is going to respond "well we don't care, you're clearly not our target demographic" then let them put their money where their mouth is and issue refunds to people who don't want to play this anymore. "but so many people hate this content that if we refund them all we'll go bankrupt!" well, maybe there's a message there you should listen to.

Let's see... 1, Streamers are free advertisement. 2, Streamers are hand picked by this business that only benefits the business when invited to the studio. 3, Streamers were hand picked for 2 "community summits", and not one of them in almost 9 years had any of you in mind with either one, nor attempted to ever ask the community what feedback should they give to this business. 4, They are showered with gifts. 5, Content was created only for them to play, and only for you to watch. 6, An emblem and something else was designed for players to buy to financially pay them. 7, Luke Smith used one that is invited a lot to the studio to try to justify some of the decisions he had made. 8, Cozmo literally said they are "your community leaders". 9, When it benefits the player base, almost all of them are against the player base and they end up only supporting this business. 10, My favorite, take the ideas from the community and pretend it was your own ideas. Do I really need to go on about how this business will "stop listening to Streamers" that this business puts way above the entire player base?

2 commentairesWe used to be so powerful they could only challenge us by booping us of the bridge in Reckoning lol. I know it sucks to see your favourite stuff get the nerf bat, but sometimes it's needed for the overall health of the game. I miss my og Lunafaction boots, but they did somewhat trivialize certain areas of the game.
