As the title suggests. I have run Kings fall on all 3 characters per week INCLUDING Master and doing the challenges on Oryx. All of this to not receive the exotic weapon. I even completed the seal and did all challenges and special ways of doing each encounter.
All of this to say that after an ENTIRE SEASON, I was not able to acquire the weapon. Honestly, once you get the raid seal, you should be gifted the weapon regardless if you have it already or not. Think of it as another pinnacle drop for the one weapon.
Bungie, please consider this because this is now just ridiculous. RNG should be a factor, but after over 39 attempts +, I believe it should be rewarded.
Love to hear everyone else’s thoughts.

That is why I stop do 3x char per week on next raid
-
The worst player who hardly contributes anything and dies the most always gets the drop. 😒
-
Bungie takes care of part timers. They don't care about people who actually play the game...
-
I already gave up on trying to get it. Im not gonna keep running the same raid week after week on 3 characters to get nothing. Im already sick of this raid. RNG continues to be the biggest issue in the game. That fact that you have the seal but still no ToM is beyond ludicrous, just hard proof that the implementation of RNG in D2 is a deterent for player retention and engagement. Burn out is at an all time high.
-
Welcome to Vex Methoclast never ending chase. People hit way higher clears than you in 70-100+ never got it but guys 6-10th run got it. It is like they know -blam!- wants it and who doesn’t care if they get it and drop rate easier for those who don’t care
-
They gave touch of malice to all the mfs who did one run and put the game down
-
Just run the orxy cp. That's what I did.
-
The moment I get it, it’s going to get vaulted and never looked at again.
-
Modifié par DZA : 12/1/2022 8:16:40 PMAt this point, if it drops it drops. I'll take back the way it was in D1 collecting Calcified fragments. 🤣🤣 Its always that 1 person who runs it the first time gets the drop
-
Agreed seal unlocked = triumph that grants the raid exotic if you didnt get lucky enough to get it to drop randomly.
-
Putting raid exotics behind a pure RNG wall (with low odds to boot) is a terrible and outdated model. It really sucks when one of your teammates has the luck of it dropping twice while others will never see it once. It should be a questline similar to Divinity.
-
I honestly think you should get the Exotic of the Raid on the 1st completion. It should be guaranteed. I'd even make it so the Challenges are only able to be completed WITH the Raid weapon (or at least 2 out of 6) have one.
-
Bungie making any raid weapon drop by RNG infuriates me. Vex was one thing because I think it was random drop in D1, but atleast D1 allowed us to complete a quest to get Malice. I hate how they just lazily made it a random drop.
-
Dont play for 3 weeks, then do the raid. Stupid, but I swear it works every time.
-
Stop raiding so much. Stop caring. It will drop.
-
I think by the 20th completion it should be guaranteed simple as that. That way whether you run one character only or all three, there's no advantage or disadvantage. And if you are so inclined to run all 20 in one week so be it, 20 is 20. I've have a friend who's run DSC over 100 times, even a flawless run and still no EoT drop. no longer plays the game.
-
i gave up after my like 10th completion lol

Stop being a slot machine addict!?

I think all raid exotics that don't have a guaranteed path like Divinity (so I guess just Divinity haha) should be in the kiosk at the tower for 240 spoils. It takes what, 10-15 runs of any raid to get 240? That should be enough that you just go buy the exotic you want. I did 9 KF completions this season, and I really didn't want to do anymore. I was lucky and got Touch on 2 of those runs, but if I hadn't, I don't know that I'd have kept grinding. Unless it was to help some clan mates try for it, but I'd rather people who didn't have it take those spots instead.

OP: that’s beyond ridiculous! I watched a buddy burnout on trying to get EoT…every week…sometimes doing a full raid, otherwise, doing c/ps…I joined him for a few c/ps only and then gave it a miss. A few weeks later, after about 80-100+ clears, he finally got it…and then left the game. That was months ago…I recently received a postcard from him… My thoughts: I got ToM pre-Sunsetting…and then BHQ stole it prior to the new season’s launch, along with sunsetting my vault. 🤬 My Titan mit bubble was the most fun, ie, helping new Friends and their Friends acquire the triumph for slaying Oryx. It was a bit of a thing back then. But once BHQ nerfed (stole) ToM, I quietly left Destiny and became a Tenno. Some time later…I returned to Destiny, on a wave of nostalgia, after watching some vids I’d made of my (then) young son and me having a hoot in Destiny. However, this time, my involvement in the game was going to be different: no more crazy stuff chasing the latest ‘must have’ loot; no more Raids / Dungeons / etc. And so it is… I’m a Senior Member of the Tortoise Club. I pootle about doing mostly ‘vanilla’ stuff, and will sometimes chase something if it looks to be a bit of fun. There’s lots of ‘almost completed’ seals to finish up, or quests or catalysts to do, so there’s plenty to keep me occupied. And I’m managing my son’s account whilst he’s overseas…doing the same; and it’s more than enough - for me! 😁 Chasing End Game Loot / Raids: imho, the latest, overhyped, ‘must have’ weapon(s) should be a guaranteed drop on the 3rd full run completion, if not already obtained on the first two runs. 👈 The current state of the game: this season had its + / - points…we all know them so I won’t repeat them here. Where I sit re Lightfall, has caused me to ponder… I’m just ‘marking time’ in Destiny…waiting to a) complete the final chapter and be done with it; and b) waiting until something better comes along…until then, I’ll just pootle about doing vanilla stuff…or I’ll return to WF…or not!? 😎 Chin up, Guardian(s), and - ease springs! 🫡 Cheers! Modifié par DHawk12 : 12/1/2022 3:37:41 AMRaid triumphs should enhance the exotic drop chance like duality. A full flawless run (like petras run) should guarantee the exotic for everyone. I would say that the seal should grant the exotic but I disagree because that’s far easier than a flawless run which is no longer required for seals.

the game needs RNG protection, im srsly thinking abt picking genshin impact again just because of this

Bungie: But...it's the memories of grinding every week that matters! :)
-
Sucks to be you! 🤣
-
Same 3x every week, but I'm not bothering with master. My last two chances of the season are on Thursday. What do you want to bet that I do not get touched?
-
I'm at only 23 looted clears and have yet to get ToM. I haven't gone after the seal, mainly because of seal-burnout - it's just become a pain to grind out all the encounter-specific triumphs and the challenges in master. It is simply no longer worth it to get yet another seal that I rarely/never use. I may get it eventually if I randomly come across LFG posts for the necessary triumphs, but am not currently actively seeking it out. That being said, I have long felt that the initial RNG on raid exotics should be harsh, but should start improving after 5-10 clears, and rapidly improve after 20 clears. At some point, it should just be guaranteed. The point it becomes guaranteed is debatable (25, 30, 40, 50), but the weekly ritual of disappointment should not drag on to the extent it currently can. If there were a way to base it off of full clears, I would say that 25 clears shows sufficient mastery of the raid that you deserve the raid's exotic. For checkpoints, the amount of time commitment for 40-50 looted clears is similarly enough that one would deserve the exotic. I would also be okay with requirements for full clears or finishing each encounter a minimum amount of times, but there absolutely be a guaranteed point at which you get the exotic.
