Long term connection issues with Bungie games, any advice appreciated

I've been a member of the Bungie community for a number of years now, and Xbox Live for 10. I am using an Xbox 360 which is relatively new (Halo 4 edition). Any other games I play online I have no connection issues with. I used to get dropped out of Halo 2, 3, and Reach about as frequently as I do Destiny, but no other games such as Halo 4, Assassins Creed, or Call of Duty. I live in Auckland, New Zealand (the largest city in the country) and I am on a wired connection and have used multiple internet providers over the years, all with the same results. I have no internet speed issues or anything else. I have always followed the networking advice provided by the Bungie and Xbox Live help, with no result. However, when I play Destiny (which I love doing), it all goes wonky. I get disconnected from any game types. These happen at random times, but usually when something happens in the game. For example, when a public event starts, or people come out of the portals when fighting Atheon, randomly during a crucible match, or when I try and go to the tower (that last one is more common recently). Most commonly I get errors such as #Weasel, #Beaver, #Elk, #Baboon, but occasionally #Bee, #Rabbit, or some other one that isn't coming to me right now. When I get dropped out while in a Xbox Live Party (such as in raids), I stay connected to that party. I have come to the conclusion that the fault here does not lay with the internet provider or even my connection with Xbox Live, but something to do with the way my machine talks to the Bungie servers. I have tried avoiding peak hours (evenings), which worked for a time but does not anymore. I really enjoy playing Destiny, it really is fun, and I feel that I don't do too badly at it when I can play. I would just like to be able to do Nightfall or a Raid without dropping out a few times. I have been patient with this for years and response or not will still play the game, but any sensible suggestions would be appreciated here, as it is all getting a bit depressing..
