$15,000.00?
You could almost go buy a new Kia for that.

Price range is around $15k. Any changes?

Saw that after I posted... Really you can get a wide array of late models that are 5-6 years old for that. 4 door hatchback? I'd say a Ford Focus, Mazda 3 or Honda would do the job quite well

You're the second person to recommend a Ford Focus or Mazda 3. Any recommendations for years?

Well, my Mom got a 2010 for around $11.000.00. It's great. I drove a 2012 brand new on vacation 2 years ago and it made me want one, though I'm really stuck on Mustangs. But they get up and go quite well, and have more than enough room in them. More room than my Mustang, that's for sure.
I'm really stuck on Mustangs
I'd buy a nice car if I could afford it, don't get me wrong. Hatchbacks aren't a dealbreaker, I just need something that can fit a bike with the front wheel off.

Mustangs are a blast, but not practical. I manage, but I can't haul much if I needed to. I can fit 1 full cart of groceries in the trunk, max. 3 people is really all it can hold comfortably, but that means the rear seat passenger is only around 5' tall. The Focus may be a little sparse on decor, but it does it's job well.
