I don't want to sound like I'm some PETA nut job, but this is bullshit. That dog shouldn't have been put down for something like this. I can allow it if the dog was dying, but not one that's healthy and still had many years left to its life. Her son should have taken care of it and if he didn't want to then find a home for it. And if you can with those dogs return it to Guide Dog Basic Training so it can be used for somebody else.
