So while you were looking and found that you were getting less internet speed than you paid for did you look into your other internet stats... you know the real important ones. Up and down speeds (yes you need to consider them separately). NAT type. Signal latency. Data loss rates. Jitter. Also things that can effect your game play.. Are you using WiFi as they are subject to interference. This is why you should not use it but if you have no option use WiFi power booster. When was the last time you reset your router and then cleared your system's cache to refresh your Internet connection. Also as correctly pointed out you do not need anywhere near 1gig. Most play D2 fine with 25 meg. Having a good up and download speed is for households with multiple users online at the same time. Which reminds me.. have you checked your router settings so that no one else's use of your home internet bleeds over to your use?.

I live in a tech house full of nerds, myself included. And, funny enough, cache was just cleared because we also change our password every so often and do that together. I'm not trying to be a smart -blam!- or come across hostile, I'm just sick of being punished for things that are clearly outside of my control. I have stable internet, good latency, no networking issues, no other games give me or anyone in my household this trouble, whatsoever. I don't understand what Hive magic I need to learn to not get flagged for lagging when it's not even on my end. We just recently discussed upgrading our internet too, which is funny, because some of us wanna stream. I joked that maybe D2 will stay connected, and I won't have a flock of birds and congress of primates to deal with in between activities and trips to the title screen.

  •
I live in a tech house full of nerds, myself included.
Which probably means that 150m down is being split between several people making it considerably lower at times. In addition 150 down usually means a very low up, which can cause issues especially if being split between more than one "tech nerd"

You were asked to provide results of your connection test yet you provided no such details. Jitter/Ping/Packet Loss etc and are you using Wifi Or are you wired to modem. These things are far more important than any download or upload speed. Could you please run packetlosstest and a test that provides jitter and ping results on that connection. https://packetlosstest.com/ https://speed.cloudflare.com/

Used both of these. Though that second one is questionable, considering it sent it to a "server"(though its just sending it somewhere by airport codes....and not even to the nearest one) that was 2 and a half states away. These tests are with the rare occasion that everyone in the house is currently active, which is rare since everyone lives on very different sleep and work schedules. https://imgur.com/a/zBfpBzf

  • 3.8 percent packet loss, along with considerably lower than advertised speeds, indicate there is an issue with either your home lan or your ISP connection for comparison https://imgur.com/a/MYY9csq
