Consistent frame drops whenever "new" particles appear.

I have been suffering from performance issues on the Steam version of Destiny 2 since partway through Season 18 - the Season of Plunder These issues are strange, yet consistent. Whenever a "new" particle appears - by which I mean, a particle effect that I have not encountered in the current play session - be that by throwing a grenade, shooting a gun, or simply jumping, the game will freeze for around one or two seconds. I have attached a video to this post. It shows that, whenever I shoot a weapon, the game will freeze - but only once. (There is a point at which a section of the video loops - I apologise for this, I am unable to record in periods longer than 30 seconds, so I had to guess when 30 seconds had passed before recording again). After that first freeze, the game will run perfectly fine, unless new particles spawn, by switching to a new gun, killing an enemy, or such. This causes many areas in-game with multiple players to be practically unplayable. The sheer number of unique weapons, supers, and other such things, causes the game to freeze much more often than it does as a solo player, effectively locking me out of activities like Crucible Quickplay, King's Fall, and even Ketchcrash or Nightmare Containment. Once a particle effect has spawned, it causes no freezes, until I close and open the game again. I look forward to any help there is to fixing this, or, if that is not known, to raise awareness of this issue to Bungie. Thank you for reading.
