You aren’t buying bright engrams, they are no longer sold in the store . It sucks but that first line is just silly

You can't be seriously injured by hot water. Burns so weak that can be fixed just put cold water. No one sued sun because of sunburns, it's stupid. But its USA so, you can sue company for dry your cat in microwave.

  • yeah, I know. I exaggerated because I find that case ridiculous, but hot coffee can cause 3rd degree burns even at normal temperatures - but honestly, who puts hot coffee between their legs? Was McDonald's in the wrong, mostly. Was she stupid on her end. By definition, yes. But, I find labels patronizing and infantile. Makes me wonder what would happen when someone puts a bottle of bleach in the dairy fridge and let nature take it's course - I shudder at the thought

It does not matter how it was spilled, it shouldn’t have been that hot in the first place. It was also far from the only case of people being seriously burned by their coffee.

  • Coffee cannot be TOO HOT. Water temperature cannot be higher then 100° by celsius. While it served it loses it's heat in dramatic speed.

  • Don't take this the wrong way since tone is difficult to convey through writing, but I'm not saying you're wrong, and we are all entitled to how we feel and our opinions. I agree, coffee was probably too hot, and that was wrong on their end. There are too many variables, but my best guess would be that if she didn't have the coffee between her legs, she wouldn't have had her hoo ha burned. The whole point of the argument while being facetious is that people will sue for the stupidest things, and that is the fault of being in a highly litigious society...case in point: guy sued Budweiser because their beer didn't make him more attractive to women. Or that time when a woman had relations with a celebrity and tried to sue him for assault because she didn't enjoy it... Hope this isn't taken as a toxic response

  • Honestly, if anyone is dumb enough to put an open container of fresh coffee between their legs while driving, that...I can't even say anything without coming off as toxic. I dunno, I was raised different, so never felt I needed labels to tell me cigarettes can give me cancer, or that hot cocoa is hot, or that a freshly mopped floor is wet. But, alas, it's the world we live in

The coffee is not consumable at 190 degrees Fahrenheit. It never should have been that temperature to begin with. She ended up with $10,000 worth of medical bills and McDonalds offered to pay $800.
