Ok man, riddle me this: You quit 2 times in a week due to IRL events like your mother needing help or because your pet pooping on the floor and you have to clean that up. You get banned for the remaining week. How does that feel for you?

Yep. I think 2x is too little. I think 3 would make more sense, bc half the time when you get DCd it counts as leaving
