All the mods that allowed you to do more damage against certain enemies no longer work.
They were breaking the game.

1. None of the 4 Last Wish mods provided more damage, they provided ammo or ability energy when performing an action on Taken enemies within Last Wish. 2. These mods were updated in Beyond Light to only work in the Raid when they were previously working on all Taken enemies. This was an issue especially in Gambit, but was resolved over a year ago. 3. They were not breaking the game in Last Wish, the only mod that arguably gave a large advantage was Taken Armaments, but given how easy it is to get ammo generally, it really doesn't provide any significant benefit. 4. You would think if Bungie wanted to remove them, they would mention it in a TWAB. It wasn't mentioned which means this is very likely a bug.

Pay no attention to kg. Totally clueless. The taken weapon mod still works and isn’t deprecated. If it was about damage, I’d think they’d deprecate the damage mod, kwim?
-
Everyone knows kg is a mindless troll that only tries to be a contrarian. I owned him in a prior conversation and he muted me because I was using too much logic and reasoning.
-
I’m muted too lol. It’s why I didn’t reply directly pointing out the disconnect
-
In what way, may I ask

People were taking their damage buffs against specific enemies into raids, and Gambit to unfair advantage over teams that didn’t have access to them. The speed at which a team with the anti-taken mods could melt a Gambit boss was jaw-dropping.

Who knew people don't like when other people hyper syngerize..? Never knew Bungie was so sad they would listen.
-
The raids weren’t designed with those buffs in mind so people were breaking raid fights left and right.
-
Weren't the Taken mods, along with the Fallen & Hive mods from SotP & CoS respectively, fixed in shadowkeep to only function in those raid activities?
-
Not sure. I wasn’t raiding back them so I didn’t have them, but I remember the complaints….and saw the impact they had on Gambit matches.
-
Yeah, I remember too and that was exactly why those were all addressed in shadowkeep. There was one that gave heavy ammo on grenade kills which was much more of an exploit. You'd spec into Hive or Fallen Armaments it was called, then switch to Taken mods for the boss phase. Invaders with full heavy all the time.

Pretty sure it was Beyond Light. I specifically remember having the mods activate in Prophecy when it launched in Arrivals.
