PC in-game chat volume outpute is separate in windows settings

Hello As a Streamer who's now moved over to PC, I've discovered an issue with the in-game chat. I use the Elgato Wave system for my audio mixing (via a Wave MIC). If you don't know how Elgato Wave's mixing works, here's how the setup goes. In the Windows settings, you have specific applications (eg, destiny 2, obs, firefox, discord, etc). These all have a Output and Input tab. Elgato mixing functions in tandem with the system settings. So my d2 is set to output to WAVE GAME channel. In elgato, while playing the game, i see the audio meters move. BUT, there's a catch. If i mute the sfx/dialogue/music tabs (in-game) and boost the chat to max, it doesn't output the chat audio in Elgato. The other 3 will. If I go to the windows master Destiny 2 source, the chat audio does change on my headphones output. If i move the d2 master slider in W-settings, it will affect the game chat volume (and sfx of course). It seems that Destiny 2 will output the v-chat separately of the actual game itself. And only output that chat audio to your system default audio output (eg: speakers or headphones). And of course, I can't source that chat channel alone without having anything else being picked up. Now there's an option via my streaming software to add the headphones audio. But that would break everything I'm trying to isolate so it's NOT outputting to my stream. Any wave connoisseurs that have found a solution? Or could Bungie make it so the voice chat just blends in with the game's source output like it does for consoles.
